I entered the restaurant and the one server was over with the cooking staff talking. I stood by the wait to be seated sign for 10 minutes before the surfer came over and handed me a breakfast and lunch menu and told me to sit wherever I'd like. I sat by the window with a nice view of the water. There was a very loud television behind me but for the most part I enjoyed the view. Eventually I saw the server again and I tried to order breakfast, and she said it was after breakfast time despite the fact she handed me the menu for breakfast. I settled on a BLT and onion rings for $15 and what I got was one of the saddest examples of that meal I've ever seen. The bacon was overcooked the point of crumbling off the bread, there was a couple lettuce leaf trying to hold it all together and two small pieces of tomato. The onion rings were inedible because they clearly came from a freezer somewhere and the outside was overcooked and the inside was still raw. Also managed to be rubbery in the way that I haven't come across from an onion ring before. Also came with a dry, slightly stale tasting pickle. I had time to eat the edible parts of my meal, look out the window for 15 minutes, and type out this review and I have not seen the server since. This place has the sad hallmarks of a restaurant waiting to go out of business.

We stopped here on our honeymoon from Utah and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the crab mac n cheese and I'd love to have it again! Our server, Bailey, was, as my wife described, "the cutest human". She was very friendly and eager to serve/assist us, making us feel cared for. Our bartender, Nihkita (I know there was an h in there somewhere so my apologies if I put it in the wrong spot!), *pictured*, was absolutely wonderful. She made us an amazing pumpkin spiked latte and an apple cider champagne drink. She was also so friendly, caring, warm, fun, and helpful and also gave us some recommendations around town while on our trip. Someone may or may not have also given us an order of deliciously decadent fried Oreos as well for the occasion. We had to take a picture with this stunning woman for the review! (Bailey was busy at the time, or we would've gotten one with her as well, next time!) Overall, it was an awesome experience that we would like to experience again and again!

Heads-up: There’s a 2.5% credit card processing fee, avoid it by paying cash or using a debit card. Located onsite at the Red Lion Hotel, this spot has pleasant outdoor seating with umbrellas, offering half a view of the bay and pedestrian walkway, and half of the wharf. Breakfast and lunch are served on one side, dinner at The Compass Room on the other. Food quality is typical hotel restaurant fare, nothing remarkable. Daily happy hour runs 4–6 pm. Our server was excellent, especially considering he had four tables and we were the only ones seated outside. What we ordered: -Oyster shooter ($2 HH): Far too large for a shooter, skip it. -Shrimp tacos (2 for $12 HH): No flavor. -Grilled cheese & tomato bisque ($14 HH): Nice crispy sourdough; bisque had a bitter aftertaste. -Fish & chips (regular price): Just okay; fries were stale. Free public parking at the wharf across the street, plus free street parking. Clean restrooms with toilet seat covers.

"We had the pleasure of working with 48 Degrees North staff in preparation for a large Christmas party anticipating over 500 people for a full dinner food service. The staff were incredibly professional and accommodating throughout the planning process. They met with us on several occasions, guiding us through every step to ensure an efficient and enjoyable event for 500+ guests. This included comfortable seating arrangements and a thoughtfully designed menu. We were fortunate to attend a special tasting prior to the event to sample menu options and meet with Chef David, who would be overseeing our dinner. Chef David provided a personalized breakdown of the menu offerings and shared his culinary expertise. The dinner service itself was remarkably smooth, likely the largest ever seated at Vern Burton Community Center. 48 Degrees North expertly managed the buffet lines, ensuring a seamless flow for all guests. While a few minor bottlenecks were expected with such a large group, the staff quickly adapted, re-routing guests and implementing effective solutions. The food was generally delicious, with the Prime Rib being a particular highlight and a clear crowd favorite. The Mushroom Ravioli with creamy garlic sauce was also a huge hit. One noteworthy mention was as our RSVP’s seemed to be exceeding our capacity, Aspen Smith and Donya Alward had a gentle yet professional way of talking me off the ledge. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and hard work of the entire 48 Degrees North team. Overall, 48 Degrees North exceeded our expectations for this large-scale event. Their professionalism, delicious food, and excellent service made our Christmas party a...

While we appreciate that this restaurant was open on the 4th of July, our experience wasn’t the best. We visited after the parade, so the restaurant was understandably busy. Other restaurants in the area were in the same situation, and they informed us of the wait time. However, none of the waitresses here mentioned how long the wait would be or gave any indication. There were only three waitresses working, and many people left the line due to the uncertainty.

After waiting for about 40 minutes, it was finally our turn to be seated. Our waitress handed us the menus but didn’t return to take our order for another 20-25 minutes. I had to flag down another waitress, but she simply relayed the message to our original waitress. I noticed that other tables received menus, water, and silverware immediately upon being seated, along with a prompt inquiry about beverages. We weren’t offered water or silverware, and the additional drink we ordered didn’t arrive until our food was served.

It took another 25-30 minutes to receive our food, and it wasn’t warm or good. Additionally, the pricing is overpriced for the quality of the food we received. When we were ready to pay, our waitress was nowhere to be found, so I had to ask another waitress for the check. Once again, she passed the task back to our waitress. Throughout our visit, I saw our waitress struggling to remember which food belonged to which table multiple times.

I wish the level of service had been more consistent among all the waitresses. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend...
