I was there with my 11yr old son his friend. My first time trying this place I've had so many friends tell me is the best burger with the most inclusive vibe in town. As we walked in the man behind the bar in the sequined top sighs loudly turns around and says to the woman behind the bar something about ughhh more children. My son is autistic and caught on that the vibes were off almost immediately. He shut down so hard he couldn't even answer if he wanted tots or fries.
Bartender rolls his eyes at me as I struggle to read the menu. I don't have the best eyesight and it takes me a moment to pick. I got the aloha burger and asked for my egg runny. Kiddos got the kids cheeseburger. He takes out order and swivels the tip screen around making aggressively direct eye contact with one hand resting and pointing at the highest tip option.. after how he acted I chose not to select that one and tipped much less. He then swings the screen back "tsk" ing and continuing his dramatic rude behavior.
It took over 30 minutes for our food to come out and it was so burnt. The boys picked black burnt cheese off the burgers, meat was dry and blackened. My egg was burnt and solid, the patty and spam was blackened as well. Paid over $60 for two burnt kids cheeseburgers and a charred aloha burger.
After a stressful day we just picked off the carbon and ate what we could. I was an overwhelmed and exhausted mom just looking for a chance to sit and rest after a day trying to keep up with very ✨neuro spicy✨ kids. After all the hype I had heard about how inclusive and great this place was, I was excited and wanted it to be a good experience for us.
It was not
Fries were great .. the artwork inside was awesome ..
That's about all I can find to compliment about...
Read moreCool little place. Food was good! I just hate that they don’t fully serve you. You have to sit your family, remember everyone’s order, then go up to the front to put your order in at the counter & pay. Then they’ll bring the food out to you. More of a hassle on the customer if you ask me. The salad came on a plate, not a bowl, so it kept falling off of the plate as I was trying to get the dressing saturated onto the lettuce.
I will say also that because the port is literally right across the street, there are some characters you’ll meet out on the streets + you can see it all going down from the restaurant windows. When I parked my car & was walking to this restaurant, I had a gentleman yelling & cussing at himself, he then directed that to me & others walking past him on the sidewalk….. Out the restaurant’s side windows you get to see all kinds of people dealing drugs, ppl sitting on the side wall of the restaurant’s windows so then you get to see people’s underwear hanging out along with their buttcracks, ppl getting on & off the bus because a bus stop is right there also, etc. I didn’t feel safe + I had my kids & family with me. I know they can’t control what goes on outside but can TRY to negate what you can; they could possibly try to keep people from sitting on that side wall so customers don’t have to sit & see peoples butt cracks the whole time their eating. Or get an artist to do some kind of cool art work on the windows on the inside or something cool like that to try & help the situation.
I think it was a cool place! Cool atmosphere (once inside), cool decor, awesome food, good workers, etc but outside of it just isn’t it unfortunately.
*I didn’t add the windows all along the side wall in my photos because it wasn’t appropriate...
Read moreI will start with what I liked, the fries were very crispy and good but unfortunately I ordered tater tots, this was only part of the unprofessional service I received at this establishment. I would like to identify the person who treated me this way because I feel it is solely her fault and I do not think this reflects negatively on the restaurant. She was early to mid 20s white with yellow-orange hair. It started when I asked for the Mac and cheese ball appetizer to start my order and she very loudly exclaimed NO! to which I was startled and then realized she may be making a joke or something but then she explained that they were just out of them that night, which was okay with me. I then went to order my burger which I asked for with tater tots, she took this order down without any more unnecessarily aggressive exclamations. But when I received my order I noticed that she had given me French fries instead of tater tots and I went back to ask her for tater tots but she told me they were out. Initially I believed her but upon further thought I realized that she was probably just lying to cover up her mistake as she was obviously very willing to let me know about items that they were out of. I work in a restaurant and I just feel like this was not something I would ever do to a paying customer. Thank you...
