Wow! We stopped here randomly in the midst of a long drive to the coast. We were expecting a typical sub-shop type casual place with decent vegan options. We were completely blown away. The choices were incredible, and each one delicious: quinoa/rice, falafel, pesto, drizzle sauces, too many to list. It's also lovely to be able to choose a wrap, bowl, salad or pita (though after trying the toasted pita, I can't imagine choosing any other option). The food was all incredibly fresh, with subtle and delicious flavors coming together for a symphony of taste. The staff were Over The Top helpful and friendly, talking time to describe choices, check ingredients to make sure our dietary needs were met, and all around super engaging and welcoming. The atmosphere is a bit college-district divy, but in a good way. Everything was very clean and inviting. The shop is connected to a bar, so patrons are welcome to wander over with their wrap, grab a beer and enjoy. Turnip exceeded all imaginable expectations and we will definitely be back the next time...
Read moreWe ordered a little after 6pm and didn’t get our food until almost 8pm. Even for a fancy sit down restaurant this would be too long to wait but this was a casual order at the counter place. We had to remind them TWICE of our order and if we hadn’t they’d only remembered 1 out of the four items. Although each time someone from our group went to the restroom we could see the guy in the kitchen playing on his phone. It was only near the end of our nearly 2 hour wait that one of the servers started apologizing for the wait but there was no real explanation given or offer to refund our money or give us free cookies or anything. It was very bizarre. I didn’t have the energy to ask for my money back and get into it with them because I was so hungry and my kids had had it and wanted to leave an hour before. The food was ok but definitely not worth the...
Read moreI think this place is good for a non greasy meal to eat in Port Angeles. However, I have felt like the place lacks an inviting atmosphere because of poor lighting and no music.
I'm not sure if they raised their prices but I paid $40 for a wrap, pita, quinoa bowl and one cookie. I asked if that was correct and she responded that it was. All these items were straight off the menu. If I had know I was going to pay that much I would have taken my family to a much better restaurant where we could afford drinks as well.
I would recommend this place if you are getting something to eat for yourself and are going on your way. The food tastes good, but if your trying to find a good meal and a pleasant environment there are better places to...
