Owners Rachel and Jess are wonderful hosts, and Pacific Northwest Wonderland Wine is a wonderful wine bar.

Every part of our experience here over two evenings earned five stars. First, there is the menu of global wines. Then there is the well-curated selection of Washington ciders, perries, and beers. The owners built the beautiful wooden bar themselves from local timber, and decorated with thoughtful, quirky, and boldly maximalist artwork. Both Rachel and Jess were exceptionally welcoming, sharing their passion for wine, a bit of local cider knowledge, and their recommendations for what to explore in Port Angeles, Olympic National Park, and Seattle.

One thing that truly stands out is the mead. Rachel introduced us to a modern take on mead made here in Washington. It was crisp, slightly bubbly, and sweet without being thick and syrupy.

If we were locals, we’d be regulars. This is more than just a wine bar: it’s clear that even though Pacific Northwest Wonderland Wine is young, it is a community heart.
