I recently had the pleasure of visiting Welly's Real Fruit Ice Cream, and I was thoroughly impressed by their exceptional offerings. This ice cream shop has a distinct New Zealand influence, and it shines through in both the taste and experience.
One of the highlights of Welly's is their original flavors, which are truly outstanding. These unique creations set them apart from typical ice cream shops. The combination of freshly crushed fruits and farm-grown milk creates a refreshing and delectable treat. It's a delight to watch them crush the fruits right in front of you, ensuring the use of fresh ingredients.
The commitment to using farm-grown milk adds a creamy and rich texture to the ice cream. This dedication to quality ingredients elevates the overall experience and sets Welly's apart from other ice cream establishments.
The attention to detail and dedication to freshness are evident in every scoop. The flavors are vibrant, and the texture is smooth and indulgent. It's a must-try for ice cream enthusiasts or anyone looking for a unique and delicious dessert experience.
Additionally, the staff at Welly's is friendly and knowledgeable, providing excellent service and guidance when choosing from their assortment of flavors.

Read moreWelly’s Real Fruit Ice Cream is a delightful little gem at the heart of the Port Angeles Wharf.
To create their real fruit ice cream, Welly’s staff blends a large spoonful of your chosen fruit with a generous scoop of their sweet cream hard ice cream in a Little Jem ice cream machine, a top-loading corkscrew apparatus that twirls the fruit smoothly into the ice cream, churning out fresh on-demand soft serve. Little Jem makes unique real fruit ice cream machines in New Zealand, and Welly’s has brought this specialty to Washington. We are all lucky they did.
My girlfriend and I spent three nights in Port Angeles, and on our first evening it was Tropical Thursday at Welly’s. We ordered a waffle cone of pineapple ice cream, and it was so creamy and delicious that we had to come back.
After hiking Hurricane Ridge and Klahhane Ridge the next day, we ordered a blackberry real fruit ice cream at Welly’s. After our hike to lake Angeles, we tried the raspberry.
All the flavors we tried were rich, fresh, and creamy, and it was fun to see our ice cream churned in front of us. You can taste and feel the real fruit, and the base ice cream is excellent quality. Welly’s ambience is great, too, with a selection of games, wooden swings hanging from the ceiling, and a corner set aside for kids. We’d keep going back. Five out...
Read moreWe were in the area visiting Olympic National Park and discovered Welly’s purely by accident on our last day. This was both a blessing and a curse because we may never have the good fortune of enjoying it again. It was AMAZING and everything this Michigan girl desires for exemplary ice cream. So if you live in the area or are just passing through, GO THERE NOW! Seriously, you will not be disappointed. Probably the best ice cream we have ever tasted. The owner and staff were super welcoming and fun. The shop was incredibly clean and family friendly. I also give bonus points for having a dairy-free option for those who need or desire. If I lived locally I would certainly have to get a second job just to support my Welly’s fix. Thank you Welly’s for giving me a little scoop of heaven on earth. Sorry for not including any photos here. I was too in love with my berry ice cream to be bothered with such...
