Not Shaved Ice. It's a snowcone or crushed ice, but definitely not shaved ice. It's good, for a snow cone, but when you're expecting actual shaved ice (which is fluffy and light), it's a bit of a let down.
EDIT: Since the owner replied, I want to add that a "Snowie" machine "shaves" the ice using a grater-like knife with ice cubes, which is inherently different than a Hawaiian Shaved ice which uses a sharp blade and a solid block of ice. I realize that Snowie calls it shaved ice, but if you've been to Hawaii and are expecting that style of shaved ice, the Snowie machine does NOT produce that. The texture from the Snowie is more like granules of ice than the soft shaving you'd get from a machine like a Fujimarca or Hatsuyuki in traditional Hawaiian shaved Ice.

She insisted we bring our pup up on the deck to get him off the asphalt and gave him a cup of water. She answered our questions politely and served our order promptly and generously.
