Island Market — Restaurant in Port Aransas

I tried to come here 2x on my vacation to give this company the benefit of the doubt. They advertise ahi tuna bowls. The first day I came they told me they did not have them I kept being referred to their Facebook page for updates. I'm on vacation. I don't want to check your Facebook page. Next I understand slow because it is organic but 40 min wait because locals order online? Then hire more people. There are no chairs or places to wait the all most hour for your food and they would not take my cell so we could go do something while we waited. I think you should tell me the wait time before I pay and not after I pay. I should have a choice to wait or go else where. Finally...do not put fresh juice when u never have it or ahi tuna bowls when u never make them and it's frustrating when most of your items aren't being served. I dropped by to have the special "Locks and Bagel" and try out the "Coconut Green Matcha Tea".

The Bagel was fresh and had various small seeds on it that added to the texture of each bite. The creme cheese was soft and the Salmon was fresh. And to top it off, they added capers and small red onion i believe. Even the salt and pepper were of above average quality.

This was by far the best Locks and Bagel I have had to date. And not to mention but the Green Matcha had the perfect hint of coconut derivatives and a hint of sweetness that I wouldn't think possible for the mildly bitter Tea. They know what they are doing.

Fantastic little gem! Everything is totally fresh and well made. Takes a little time, but it's absolutely worth the wait. It was nice to find a place serving such healthy and delicious fare.
