Good location. Beautiful pool and grass maintenance. But beware, the spots were made for sardines. A local told us they were originally made for smaller rigs in the 80s. We have a 33 foot travel trailer (not the largest thing around) and we were inching to get in and out of our space, and they require you to wait for them to direct you to park into your spot.

Love it here. Heated saltwater pool, hot tub, winter activities such as poker, crafts, pancake breakfast etc. Management is fantastic. Golf cart accessable to the restaurants, beaches and night life. Just off the ferry..

Owner is extremely sweet. The campground is a little cramped, but very well kept. Very nice pool & hot tub. Prices are good and location is great.

We were not told when we made the reservation that you had to be checked in by 9:00. Our friends arrived before us and went by to check out the RV spot only to be told they couldn't check in until the rv was there because they had to assist you with parking. We changed our plans to leave as quickly as possible to try and get there by 9:00. They told us if we didn't get there, we would have to come back the next day to check in. They did end up letting us check in at 10:00 but not without a lot of grumbling and complaining. Next issue, the sewer in our site was stopped up so there was sewer water (fortunately grey) on the ground outside our campuer. That didn't get fixed until after noon the next day. The next morning we were told we couldn't park our vehicle at our camp site because it was too long even though the camper next to us stuck further into the lane than the truck. We had to park outside the park on the shoulder of the road. The campers are jammed in with barely room to put your slideout out. Next issue, the intersection where you enter the park is odd. There are ars coming from several different directions. We crossed traffic to enter the park and had to hurry to get across. As soon as we entered the park, we slowed to the 5mph speed limit but not before one of the park hosts got in front of us and began to shake his finger at us. He then followed us to the campsite and ranted about needing to slow down in the park. There is a nice fish cleaning area but no trash cans nearby. The bathrooms and showers are air conditioned and nice. Not only will we never stay here again due to the staff but I will advise everyone else I know not to stay here. We go to the coast for a relaxing vacation. The staff ruined the weekend for us with all their issues. We also camp all over Texas and I've never run into a less helpful or friendly staff nor a campground that doesn't allow...

1st time here during the winter months, lots of activities going on: Pokeeno, Bingo, potlucks, fairly priced breakfast & lunch menu's on organized days, dutch trips to local eateries, occasionally a live band, guests gather for Thanksgiving meal & Christmas dinner, pool & hot tub remain open till 10pm, clean men & womens shower house & bathrooms, pool bands required to be worn in the pool area which I do not mind at all, there's a laundry room w 4 washers & 6 dryers, front office open 7 days a week 9am-5pm, quarters for laundry available in the front office, park kept very clean, fish cleaning house on the premises, grass & edging neat, pet friendly on a leash of course, rec center has lounging area w a TV living room set up w basic cable, honor system little library, puzzles, board games, complimentary coffee, 50 amp, all pull through sites, "complimentary" Wi-Fi could definitely use a major boost in their speed, some spaces are tight, dog park access less than a 2 min walk, community heated pool right behind rv park, nature preserve in walking distance, its less than 1 mile from the beach, restaurants in walking distance, golf carts permitted on the premises which I think is totally cool, golf cart rentals all over the island, strict 5 mph in the park, staff hosts pretty friendly, I've noticed the park has lots of committed annual returning guests-5-10-15+yrs, that's awesome! Manager runs a tight ship! Just like anywhere, follow the rules,...

1.) The smallest spaces I have ever seen! The access roads are just as bad. They have to spot you you while parking. That is why you have to arrive prior to 9pm. This is why they are also very insistent on knowing your exact dimensions. Trust me you will need their help. Have a cold beer ready for when you are done! It ain't no joke. When we put our slide out we had 1 foot between us and our neighbor. This place makes sardine cans look like they have wasted space. 2.) You have to rent arm bands to get in the pool. This proves to the people running this place you have the right to be there. Here's a ground breaking idea! Get a gate that you can randomly change the code on. Instead, you put the burden on your customers! Trust me, they check for the bands that can only be purchased and returned during office hours. They will throw you out w/o one. I wonder how many deposits they keep from people not returning their bands. What a $%$%%$ hassle! 3.) This is what led me to type this review. The attitude by some of the staff is one of distain and annoyance of us the customer. We felt like they were just looking for a reason to get on us about something! It really took the hospitality feel away. I don't know why? We are not trouble makers. If you read Shays review below you will start to pick up on their attitudes here. They don't have to worry about us anymore! . I like to go where we are appreciated. A little friendliness...
