I always try to go a minimum of three visits before I post my reviews. Everyone (myself included) has bad days, off days etc. so judging after one is typically unfair in my opinion. That being said...this was my second visit because I just can't take a third! The first visit was in another state(MI)...there was two of us, restaurant packed...small wait to be seated...service was lacking on those "bottomless" fries they tout...I am not a fan of preformed burgers (signifies frozen to me)...and I felt the prices were high...but overall not a bad experience. Second visit was in FL...there was three of us...a Sunday...not too crowded. The hostess takes us alllllll the way to the back where it was mainly family's with young children...(I have my own opinion on children in certain restaurants...LEAVE THEM HOME!) we were all adults...we asked to sit in the front where it was basically empty...the hostess was too busy texting on her phone to guide us says, "Sure, pick a table." True, being plus sized; for comfort we chose a booth for six...but it wasn't busy and it was mid afternoon...hostess runs over and tells us we can't sit there...we chose another table...waitress comes for our order and we've barely looked at the menu. After asking a couple questions as to the difference of certain burgers we order. I asked for sweet potato fries for a $1.50 upcharge, they are bottomless too. The food arrived quickly but incorrect...my burger was wrong...no sweet tater fries...the steak fries brought for all three of us were sparse at best...waited for mine to be brought...kept my burger (I never send food back, too many horror stories) the new fries were sparse as well...the bill was $30.00...never once asked for a refill on fries...all had nearly full refills on our drinks and didn't get a to go cup offer so we just left them (didn't want to; they were premium drinks root beer float and orange cremes). Sorry I've written a novel for this post! In my opinion Red Robin is...
Read moreHonestly, it was the marketing behind the unlimited steak fries that lured us in. I've always been a fan of a traditional burger and shied away from "gourmet foo-foo" burgers.
I'm glad we stopped and sad that we've never been before.
The service was fast, attentive, and jovial. Our server rocked the bar and the bar tables with ease.
The draft beer was served cold, a big plus when most joints forgo the basics of bar service. Bonus: The tap with Yuengling emptied during my pour, so I got a big 90% glass of cold suds for free!
My other half ordered a Orange Cream Soda, which was a oral delight of candied orange, Spite, and whipped cream. Two thumbs up on that one.
We ordered the Royal Red Robin burger and the Uberburger. Both with steak fries, of course. The burgers were delivered within 10 minutes and arrived hot and inviting.
The Uberburger was a burger freaks dream! Half-pound Angus meat, candied bacon, bratwurst, glazed onions, special sauce and beer cheese, all on a pretzel bun. The flavors paired well with each other. This was a burger like none other. One word: amazing!
My partner's Royal Red Robin was perfection in it's own right...grilled burger, sunny side egg, bacon, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and mayo. Once you bite into the egg the yolk envelopes the burger into an egg-y, gooey masterpiece. Full attention is needed to master this burger without it falling apart.
The steak fries were hot and lightly dusted with a seasoned salt. Just the right amount of flavor, not overpowering like some burger joints. Once we were half-way with our initial order of fries the server had another order ready. Kudos, Wendy, kudos!
I guess you could call this pseudo-fast food as it was quick, but made to order. The entire meal, from start to finish, was wonderful. No complaints at all.
Red Robin, you might be an hour away, but we'll be down...
Read moreYesterday I went to dinner with my sister and my niece , They Were very busy as it was a Saturday evening but we were sat very fast my server was amazing as well as the people that came to clean off the table and bring drinks whenever our drinks got low. The reason I gave it three stars instead of five is that I am not a beef eater so I ordered the impossible burger which was fantastic I just was a little disappointed when I got my receipt to see that everything that I ordered was an upcharged and I hadn’t been aware of that in the beginning so to swap out my beef burger for the impossible meat was 3.50 when I ordered my bottomless sides I got garlic fries which was an additional dollar 99 up charge which the menu didn’t state they just said that they were bottomless and to choose from any of our bottomless sides so I spent 25$ on a Burger beer and fries lol but the service and the burger wore good the fries wore their regular fries and kinda soggy I wish I would’ve been made aware of the up charges and non-vegan restaurants shouldn’t offer these options if there’s gonna be a almost 5 dollar up charge it’s just like they want to be able to say that they offer it just to say that they offer it because it’s not that much more than the...
