We arrived with only 2 people eating at a table around 730pm. No one else (drive through wasn't busy either). We were told after waiting at the register it would be a min and someone would be with us. We understood. There were at least 4 or 5 people working. About 7 or 8 minutes went by and we finally see what we think may be a manager (could have been a shift leader) in a collared shirt. Difficult to tell because this young man had hickeys all over his neck. Couldn't imagine someone like him would be in this position. He comes to the register and we step forward thinking he's ready for our order. No instead "Jacob" tells us the girl who's suppose to be on the register is getting off break in one minute will be with you? WHAT? We've been waiting awhile now...I see the girl come back, doesn't say a word while she's clocking in and I understand it's not her fault. She walked away....finally we decided to leave and had enough. I went back in after a min and asked the young lady (black hair with braids) what was the managers name. She just looked at me and said "what can I get for you". She knew exactly what she was doing. I asked again two more times before she used her drive thru headset to have him come to the register. He finally came and all I asked was his name. That's when he told me "Jacob". My husband and I get food here all the time through the drive through but after last night I will be sure to let everyone know the service we recieved. I have already emailed corporate about this. "Jacob" all you had to do was take our order. You being a shift leader or manager should have known better. Your office has a window and you sat there knowing we were waiting almost 10 minutes for someone to help us. The young girl up front also needs an...
Read moreMy guess is someone who used to work at the Beville McDonalds got hired here. They turn all lights including the parking lot lights off except the drive through signs at whatever time they decide each night. This way, you can't tell from the road they're open. A few months ago I get an app notification about a breakfast and mobile order deal. Didn't even know they had breakfast but decided to try it. Long story short I submit order, drive there, they don't have it. I can't use the deal because it's no longer available (since I already used it!) I was accused of making up the deal even though she could see it in THEIR app along with the order i placed for their store lol by the time I decide to give up on the app she tells me I can't order breakfast anymore, "it's too late." A month later my husband wants a frosty. Even though I'm still a little salty, I do a mobile order, dining room pick up, because hubby wants to ride electric bike to pick up. Doors locked, bombarded by gnats or flys while waiting but they won't answer. He goes to the window, they tell him no bikes in drive through. I wish I was joking. A couple days ago my nephews insist on frostys so I begrudgingly give in only because I remember I still have $20 in the app to use. I give them the mobile pay code at the window and they have no idea what I'm talking about. I hear her telling a guy in training I'm trying to scam them, or something to that effect. The guy in training doesn't look convinced of what she is saying. She walks away and I guess gives up within about 5 mins trainee figures it out (with a smile at that!) Bottom line, I hope for the owners sake y'all treat the trainees good. While you've already racked up 3 strikes with me, they're about the only...
Read moreAs far as fast food restaurants are concerned, Wendy's is actually pretty good. I say this in regards to their premium sandwiches. There is a significant difference between their premium sandwiches and their value sandwiches. My recommendation is for their premium items only, as the value items aren't impressive enough that I would recommend.
What I liked about the premium items were their quality, both the meat and the greens. A good indicator of quality is the lettuce; whole leaf lettuce is what you want to see, shredded lettuce is much more common because it hides brown spots and other indicators of lesser quality. Also, the meat actually tastes like better quality meat than other fast food chains. It was quite a pleasant surprise, actually. The only other fast food chain with meat (and vegetables) as good is Hardee's. Now I don't know if this last part is in my head, but I think the bun even tastes better than average. It almost seems a bit sweet, like maybe Wendy's adds some sugar to the dough.
If you're choices are limited to fast food, Wendy's premium line of sandwiches are a decent choice that may surprise you. Wendy's clearly has WAY better quality food than McDonald's or Burger King. They may be a few bucks more but it's...
