Cute little place in the heart of downtown PSJ, the coffee's and teas are wonderful, but the food /options are less than desirable.
The first time we visited we got a few lattes and bites for breakfast . We each found our bagel sandwiches to be 90% bagel and 10 % filling, not joking the egg barely covered the bagel - it was very odd as if we got 1/2 beaten egg. The muffins are good but for what you're paying the size is very small, it could fit a toddlers hands
We tried a second visit , And again our coffees were wonderful.
But this time at 8:40am on a Sunday - we learned they had no food; no bagels, no muffins - nothing to offer, they were also out of certain teas, so its clear that the establishment runs very lean (usually a sign of money issues)
It was also frustrating, given there was a long line - it would have been nice to know they had No Food so people were'nt waiting in line to order only to be told 'we have no food to sell' , I wasn't the only one frustrated by this, but the mom behind me with her 3 kids wanting muffins.
This lack of proactive communication shows they were not thinking of the customer which felt neglectful - the type of service that says "we're unreliable" ...so maybe dont waste your time ..?.
All of this unfortunate, as its a cute place, great coffee to go (not much for seating) and the barista was...
Read moreEdit since I can’t reply to their reply….when I am paying for an EXTRA shot but it gets cut off because of the milk/foam going in first….I mean, the milk fills more than half the cup barely allowing the 2.5 ounces to begin with let alone the extra shot I’m paying extra for. Also, added info not originally put in my review. I kept coming back even though I was paying for mostly milk because, caffeine. But, I stopped when the barista started pouring regular coffee from a pitcher instead of brewing espresso for my cappuccinos. It was not hot, it was definitely coffee vs espresso because of the amount poured and the flavor. I couldn’t finish my drink.
This place would be better if they actually could control the foam/steamed milk. I always get a dry cappuccino and always an extra shot of espresso anywhere I’m at. Always the espresso is put in first, every single place I go this is how it is. Here, the foam/steamed milk is done first which doesn’t make a dry cappuccino for one. Then they have to cut the espresso off so it doesn’t overflow. I feel like I’m paying for steamed milk. The machine they use to make these drinks, it’s automatic. Espresso and steamed milk comes from the same spout. There is no artistry there. And again, espresso should go first. That’s what we are paying for. It’s an ok place but it’s not...
Read moreNot a great experience from the food to the service. The front staff could use training in customer service, definitely awkward trying to communicate with them. Also we brought our dogs after seeing dog bowls on the patio our first time here, but when we tried to walk our dogs through the store to the patio the front staff girls stared at the dogs until we asked if it was okay that they were there, to which they said we had to walk around the building to the alley because the dogs couldn’t walk the 5 feet through the store to the patio. So we ordered and did that, the alley was dirty, filled with vultures in the dumpster, and had shattered glass everywhere and when we got to their patio the gate was locked and we couldn’t even get in. On top of that our coffees did not taste like any coffee I’ve ever had before and they either don’t have good espresso or don’t know how to make it. The bagels were nice but they have no cheese for any of the sandwiches so they are a little dry. Overall this place could be really cute and has a lot of potential but in its current state I would not recommend going there. We will not...
