UPDATED 14 February 2024 SOLID 5 STARS As you can tell, we love Pt Townsend WA. We moved to WA from Santa Cruz, CA in 1999 and missed SC as WA was NOTHING LIKE it.... until we found Pt Townsend. Bingo.... smaller NW version. We also located Silverwater so anytime we're there we go to SW. This visit was our Valentine's Night dinner. It was even better than the last time we were there. Reservation was set for 5pm... people are very friendly which is a bonus since there is a WA/NW freeze for non locals (like us). It is a 2 story place with very high ceilings. We were taken to a table for 2 in the "balcony" area, bar there too. Pics attached show this. Jacob was our server. He is excellent and I recommend you ask for him though others are superb too. We ordered the hazelnut crusted halibut and chicken marsala with angel hair pasta (pics and full menu attached). It was the best meal we've had in a long time. Ambience is very nice, paintings adorn the walls. Check it out. Reservations are highly recommended especially for special days and/or long weekends, it is very popular. For Valentines Day like events, please make a booking well in advance. At this time they are not open for lunch. So please check the schedule on their website. Parking can be challenging so arrive early. Solid 5 stars and we highly recommend trying them.
20 July 2022 visit We love SW. Great food. Try the Athenian Pasta. They also have glueten free offerings. Staff was excellent as was the owner. You must meet her. Let them know how you feel about this gem of a place in PT. Highly recommended. Reservations recommended - they get busy.
Prior review. Good food, atmosphere and staff. Always visit when in...

We've walked by this place dozens of times and never felt like it drew us in. But we decided it was time to overlook the mediocre curb appeal and try the food. Glad we did.
The portions were spot-on: not too much but just enough to leave totally sated, not stuffed. M and I both started with the Manhattan style cod-chowder. Not often found these days as most places serve the New England style. The soup was very tasty and a cup was the perfect serving.
M got the calamari and I got the fish and chips and we split our dishes, as we often do. The calamari was the best either of us can ever recall eating. Instead of gobs of fried batter hiding meager pieces of calamari, this was a plate of chunks of calamari lightly coated and flash fried so it was not greasy at all. Absolutely wonderful. The fish and chips was, also, lightly battered and not greasy. Nice pieces of cod and fries that were not soggy. We both like that the slaw wasn't swimming in mayonnaise but, rather, was crisp and had flavors of the vegetables, not swimming in so e sauce. Some people will find it too dry but ask for some dressing instead of complaining about a coleslaw focused on the natural flavors.
Service was super friendly. Our server (Mckenzie) was a delightful person who seemed genuinely interested in being there and offering cheerful service.
Clearly the big question of "would I return" is pretty obvious: definitely, yes! We...

We had gone to the silverwater for dinner a while back, and the food and service were great! Everything we ordered had been delicious and our server (I forget her name but she was an older gal who was very friendly and knowledgeable). We decided to try again today and we didn’t even get to the waters before we had to leave.
We had come in with a stroller and originally were offered a table very close to several other full tables, we asked if it would be okay to move to a table further in the back. Because we didn’t want the stroller or our 6 year old to be in the way of the other patrons. The hostess was sweet and said she’d make that happen. Well she mentioned us sitting in the other section, and the male server very loudly and angrily said “I was hoping that table would be my last but whatever I guess” and angrily tossed something in the bar area.
We moved towards the other table and the server angrily grabbed a chair from against the wall, cutting me off and nearly hitting our baby in the stroller. He said nothing, not even an “excuse me” or an I’m sorry, he then angrily glared at our direction and shook his head. Never have i felt so uncomfortable or unwelcome. I tried to forget it but after sitting at the table for 5 minutes without being greeted or given waters I knew we weren’t wanted there. So we left and had lunch down the street. So disappointing we were in town for a special family day and that certainly clouded...
