Nice wine but the overall arrangement was not adequate. So they only offer three non-descript wines by the glass (“white”, “red”, “rose”) - everything else is by the bottle. Ok - if I am going for a whole bottle of wine, I need some food to go with it. Here the choices - written with white chalk on the blackboard - ranged from a “charcuterie board” to crackers with goat cheese. Sounded nice - we ordered everything they had. The ”charcuterie board” they handed us was a whole-sale-bought plastic tray of a few slices of salami and cheese and olives – basically a tray of “lunchables” – for $20. The crackers and goat cheese were the same wholesale plastic wrapped thing they hand you. The $4 nuts are what you get free on an airplane. What you see below (without the wine) is about $40 worth of food. Guess it would be okay if they showed you what food they actually do offer. I find calling a "lunchable: a “Charcuterie board” deceptive. Then you take your haul of plastic and go sit baking in the sun on bleak concrete and there is no service. But hey, the wine was nice enough and cool.

Wonderful winery extension located directly on the water and located in Historic Downtown Port Townsend. The wine here is sourced from Port Townsend Vineyards nearby and this is more akin to a tasting room and spot to come and relax while drinking excellent wine. There is ample outdoor seating with fireplaces, there is a large room surrounded by windows directly on the water as well. The staff here are super friendly and welcoming. We ended up sitting up front and having a red wine taster. The prices were fair and the wine was really excellent. I was really impressed with the beauty of the establishment. We came in in the middle of winter and rain, but I could only imagine how amazing this spot would be on a nice day. Even on cooler days, the fire pits on the patio which sits above the water make this place truly special.

On an epically beautiful day like today in downtown Port Townsend, there are few places that can provide this kind of view accompanied by a glass of wine. During our current Covid phase they are offering packaged nibbles or allowing outside food to be brought in, and you can buy a delicious bottle of wine to accompany either option. Bring a glass, buy a glass, or accept a plastic cup (please think of the state of our oceans before you do this) to drink from. Soak up the beautiful views or on a gray day sit by the outdoor fires to stay warm. Enjoy!

I felt very sad that as a local trying to support our businesses that I have to say how bad our service was tonight. We were there for a glass of wine and an appetizer plate. We got our wine, waited for delivery of the plate. The place was lovely as always and not busy on a monday, then the server told us our appetizer was unavailable tonight. No problem. She suggested a substitution and we agreed. We waited, drank slowly still waiting then gave up. We had to ask for a refund as we left. All fine but we felt very ignored and forgotten. We probably will support a different local place. We also heard the server bash a different local bar as we were...
