I've gone there 3 times this year... each time there were problems. The first time the sandwich looked awful and was a mess to eat. Just thrown into the package. The second time they had no roast beef. HOW DOES A BEEF PLACE RUN OUT OF BEEF??? The third I ordered a sub sandwich and it looked like someone used a 5 ton press to install it into the box. The box was soaked through when I got home... it was barely a 4 minute drive. I hope they get their stuff together.
EDIT Here's something else. Many years ago I was at a different Arby's location. This one had a drive through where you would receive the food right at your window via a conveyor system. It was located right next to the door to get into the place.
The problem the kiosk where the food is delivered totally blocked the drivers line of sight to anyone walking out of the restaurant. I left and walked out to my car just as a guy pulled away from the kiosk. He clipped me and I tumbled across his hood like Bo Duke. I was fine, thanks for asking.
That being said I'd rather go to the Arby's where I was actually hit by a car than the one 3 minutes from my house.
EDIT TWO So against my better judgement I decide to try again. This is before the corona shutdown. I went in to order for my family and left them to wait in the car. There were 10 people standing around waiting for food. I asked the guy closest to the register if he was in line and he said "no, we are all just waiting for our food." EVEN WITH THAT ANSWER I still stuck around and ordered food. THIRTY MINUTES later I walked out with a food order. Never again.
EDIT THREE So even though I said "never again" apparently that means every couple of months... this time I was 3rd in line for the drive thru. I waited maybe 7-10 minutes to get to the speaker. I rolled down my window and waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. Finally someone came to the mic and said "Welcome to Arbys hang on a minute" And I waited. And waited. I listened to 3 songs on the radio. I said "helloooo" once and heard some rustling by the speaker. So I decided to go to McDonalds. It took all of 3 minutes from the time I pulled in until I had the food.
You really need to get it together. I went to the new one at 8150 E Ridge Rd, Hobart and the drive thru was moving. I wasn't in line more than 5 minutes. EDIT FOUR So the family requested this again and its either drive 5 minutes to this place or drive 10 minutes to Hobart. For some reason I decide that MAYBE this place got their shit together. Like, maybe it wont be bad THIS time.
I was wrong.
Again.
I needed to order 2 buffalo chicken sliders, potato cakes, and a chicken strip kids meal. Simple enough, right? Wrong.
They actually had the sliders. I asked for chicken strips and they said "we don't have any chicken" (well then what's in the buffalo chicken sliders?) Then I ask for potato cakes. Apparently they are out and every customer has asked for them because she shot back "we don't HAVE potato cakes" with a little bit more of an attitude than I think she should have. I drove off (Again) to the Hobart location on 8150 E Ridge Rd and they performed...
Read morePlaced an online order at 9:50 pm because the app said they were open until 11pm. Didn’t realize they make their own hours and have a paper on the drive thru window stating they close at 10 pm until further notice. Definitely not the problem here at this location though. I showed up at 10:05 pm, not knowing about the paper on the window, the blond manager on duty had my order hanging out the window and was very short with me, still not the reason for my review. Get all the way home and realize why the sandwiches we ordered were hidden on the bottom of the bag. We ordered 2 roast beef doubles and 1 reg beef and cheddar along with a fish sandwich, curly fries, jalapeño bites and Mac and cheese bites. Now let’s get to the good, the bad and the ugly. The good: curly fries, jalapeño bites and Mac and cheese bites were all fine. The bad: the fish sandwich wasn’t wrapped and had bad lettuce on it. The ugly: the beef sandwiches, all 3, had me wondering if it was a prank. They took and threw on a few hunks, not slices, on a bun and literally called it a day. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Drove all the way back, which is when I seen the paper on the window saying they close at 10 pm, it is 10:35 pm and she didn’t want to open the window and address the issue. My husband asked her to look at the sandwiches and tell him if anything like that should ever be given to a customer. She preceded to tell him we’re closed and that she doesn’t work the back so she had no idea what was given to us. Because my husband was irritated, no foul language being used, just raised his voice, she then threatens to call the police on him. What is going on...
Read moreFood was fine. I have been there about 3 times in the last 4-5 months. At least 3 of the times the lobby was closed, presumably because of short staff. 2 of those times I pulled into a parking spot and before I got out of the car witnessed a handicap person walk all the way to the door and try to open it, but it was locked. The first time I saw that, I ended up going to the drive-thru and I mentioned that they should put a sign in the window to prevent that. It was the manager, and she said "It must have fell down". Two more times going there with the lobby closed and still no sign. This time when I went thru the drive thru... I was told to pull forward by the door... with NO CARS BEHIND ME. What is the point of that? They brought the food out just a moment after I pulled up. I also asked for a bunch of ketchup at the window. I received none. Come on people. Do better. It is the simple things that even a lazy person can do that...
