Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Portland

Everything was good up til the point I looked at my receipt 🧾 and I thought 💭 when I called and spoke to the bartender I asked what time they closed at , he said 12 midnight but they stop serving at 11:30 pm . I asked what specials they have that night he said everything is half off Alex was his name , But the manager lied and told me his name was EDDIE because I was putting a bad review in and didn’t want his name published on this review lol 🤣 I guess he thought I was slow or dumb for not knowing he told me his name several times over the phone and when I came in his name tag had ALEX on it smh lol 🤣 . So I asked for a manager because me and my kids rushed up to Apple bees to order some food because we were hungry. We got there after 11:30pm its was 11:49pm when sat down and ordered our food I left the server a nice tip . But I wasn’t happy when my receipt 🧾 came and I was under the impression that I was told my food was half off and I spoke to a manager there and he didn’t approve of it which I couldn’t believe when I was told by the bartender ALEX that everything was half off is why again me and my kids rushed out to go dine out and eat there to have dinner and enjoy our selves for a chance. But no we just couldn’t . But last time I was here the lady manager approved my request do to customer satisfaction and that’s how it’s supposed to be at all times . That was 3-4 years ago I mean this guy manager couldn’t even accommodate and say hey you know what , for the inconvenience I will do a half off next time you order or the next time you order it’s free on me . Just simply nothing leaving me hanging dry and I had the impression he was a nice stand up guy that would do right by his customers but he didn’t prove to me that he would that night so I told him this will be my last time eating here ever and I meant that ‼️🤏🏾 Oooh and the manager name is “ CARLOS “ I’ll never eat here again thank you...

OUR WAITRESS WAS RUDE AND UGLY to the hostess right on the floor infront of customers. We came here between 5 and 6pm our waitress was a chunky girl with dark hair and braids. Everything seemed good. We placed our food order. And as we were waiting, the hostess, a very nice young lady.. set another couple down next to us. And our server exploded on her. You could tell the hostess is new.... my wife and I both have been in the industry for years... and listening to the waitress demine, the hostess was rude and ugly. It really set a bad tone for our table for most of the night after that. Luckily, the manager Ms. Anderson came by 2 say hello, and we absolutely love her. We think she is the bee's knees! On the way out, we let the hostess know she didn't do anything wrong and not to let anybody bully her. I hope somebody talks to that waitress and lets her know criticize privately.. praised publicly. That's how team work works.

Had a great time today for Mothers Day. The food was amazing! The atmosphere was perfect! Zero wait time!! Seated immediately. Our server was Shay. She did her best, I guess. My wife was a server for chili's 15 years. I've watched her wait on two whole sections by herself and never miss a beat. Shay was having a very hard time with the three tables she had.. we saw her once when she took our order.But that's just about it. And then was upset because my wife did not tip her. Guuurllll knock it off.

But the manager, stephanie, I believe her name was. Came in for the save. Absolutely, phenomenal.Great conversation was nice to our children. You can definitely see the difference in experience and level of commitment. Thank you for perfect service and stepping up when you see fault on your floor!! Would definitely recommend! And will...

Everything about our experience tonight was terrible. First the waitress had an attitude from the moment we were seated. Never once came to check on us. We had to flag her down. Second the drinks soft drinks were terrible once we mentioned it to her she popped back like that’s just the way they are. Third our food came out cold. When we mentioned it to her she acted like she didn’t want to hear it & brushed us off. Once we spoke up about it she just handed our ticket to her manager & basically told him to deal with it. Yes he took care of the tab. However as we were dealing with the manager I finally got a chance to look at my food and realized there’s ham in my food. I’m a pescatarian I haven’t ate chicken beef or pork in 13 years I’m very careful what I eat. I specifically order blacken shrimp Alfredo no where in the menu does it say ham and I specifically told the waitress I don’t eat chicken beef or pork and only wanted shrimp. Of course she didn’t listen so guess what happen as soon as I get home. Yes I got sick threw up everything. It was a terrible experience I would never ever go back to this terrible place I remember why I stopped going to Applebees in the first place. It’s sad when we even called to talk to the manager after we get home and the only thing they can say is well you didn’t pay for it. So what if I did. Your food made me sick and the only remedy you have is well you didn’t pay for it. What if I did pay for it? What then? It’s okay to make people sick as long as they don’t pay for it. Yea okay. The whole crew needs an attitude adjustment. Even the table next to us came over and said good job the waitress was rude to us too. This whole place just needs to be shut down. I’ve never had a more worse experience then at this Applebees....
