The space is nice and big and the beer was alright, but when it comes to their communication and service I thought it was lacking. I went to a launch party for one of their bourbon barrel stouts recently where they were having brunch as well. The Facebook event (which was the only form of communication surrounding the event) was not clear on whether the brunch was included with their beer or any of the surrounding details. We went there and sat at the bar with our beer. During our whole time we were there, we had to make a big effort to get the bartender's attention every time we wanted another beer because we weren't once asked if we wanted another, even after our glasses had sat empty for awhile. I get that it is a brewery and they aren't full service, but when you are sitting at the bar right in front of the bartender I wouldn't expect it to be so hard to get another glass when it wasn't even busy, despite it being a "launch party". The food was just sitting off to the side still in its catered packaging and everyone seemed confused as what to do. I asked the bartender if the brunch was included with the purchase of their new beer and he said "I don't think so" and nothing more. A minute later I was able to flag him down again, I asked this same bartender how much it was for the food and he said "five dollars". Overall, the lack of clear communication and attentiveness to patrons was quite disappointing. Unfortunately, I won't be going back again. There was nothing about this brewery that made it stand out above the many other breweries...

Their flagship offering is an unfiltered pilsner dubbed "The Machine". The fullest body that you will find for this style; it is my personal favorite in this category (Victory Prima Pils is my #2). Their seasonal offerings are also superb, with a great maibock and double bock in the spring.
Right now, the Green Mind is being served. This may be my all time favorite: a wet hopped wheat pale that is fantastic. I am going...
Read moreAn awesome small craft brewery that most certainly intently focuses on the actual craft of brewing high quality beer. The owner/brewer was very friendly and laid back; he was happy to talk shop about all of the great stuff he's been doing and has planned. The atmosphere is a cool garage-type spot that totally immerses you in the brewery as you enjoy a tasting or pint. If only I lived in Portland, I would certainly be eagerly looking forward to what these guys come...
