Western Promenade — Attraction in Portland

A tranquil park to visit if you want stress-relief and relaxation. We explored the West End as tourists and enjoyed seeing the beautiful old houses in this area. This seems like an area with affluent residents. A good number of people are relaxing on the park or jogging/walking with their dogs. We even saw a wedding party taking pictures as we arrived. It's nice to be here at sunset as this faces west and is on higher ground looking west. However, I wouldn't really say the views are that great; a lot of trees cover the views below. As an added plus, you can see the airplanes fly close here as the airport is right on...

Very nice view. People often flock here on a nice night to watch the sunset, they will setup blankets and bring dinner or just sit and chill. During the day there is constant flow of trafiic from either hospital staff walking on breaks or people from the community walking their dogs or playing with their dogs in the grassy areas.
