Cascadia Coffee Pub — Restaurant in Portland

I was super stoked to go to this spot right next to my apartment for lunch and a drink whilst reading my book but was told I could not come inside with my cat in her back pack. My cat has been to countless coffee shops and restaurants where she sleeps in her pack and you wouldn't even notice her there. I understand people have allergies and the man working behind the counter was super kind about explaining the city wide rules but as I was leaving another patron brings his dog right thru the front door and gets service. If they are going to have a no domestic pets rule it seems like this should be for both nonservice dogs...

I went to this company after learning from a backpacking website that they did their own microground instant coffee. As I was heading to the trailhead, I stopped and picked up a variety pack of their microground coffee. On their website, they listed their variety pack but it wasn't available in store apparently. It's okay though, the guy working jumped onto their website to see what I was looking for and made up a pack right there. I really love this place - the staff make it welcoming, cozy and special. My ONE beef is that their breakfast sandwiches are too elaborate and a little greasy! I know I would come over here all of the time for a morning sammy if they offered an affordable, no frills egg, cheese (+/- meat) on an english muffin. Those kinds of sandwiches bring me back to my NYC deli sandwich days and really, that's all a girl needs....
