Marriott Hotel — Hotel in Portland

Luxury, quality, quieter than expected the commuter train from Seattle was only 3 blocks away where I walked with my service dog to meet my business partner from the train from Seattle. The hotel served fresh breakfast was wonderful and convenience of walking to see the river walk, skyline and neighborhood was convenient as the light rail was close by, safety and location in downtown pearl district provided the ambience with the nearby park. The city transformed from having to avoid walkable areas due to the camping made it feel that restoration to what the city was once. The staff gave great recommendations where to go like concierge service. Highly recommend but parking is a premium as the city has changed it's guidelines including its disabled parking along with public parking. Valet...

The area is nice and relatively quiet. The hotel itself is nicely decorated, with a scenic and cool inner courtyard that is a great place to relax outside the room. The rooms themselves are pretty standard. Nothing crazy, nice enough. The pool is okay though heavily treated. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and informative. Oh, and the complementary breakfast buffet was definitely one of the better ones I've had.

The roof was a bit thin with a weirdo pacing back and forth all night. The room had a crib and diaper left in it from the previous occupants. And the master power switch by the doors were pretty ambiguous as to what it controlled (some but not all...

I stay at this Marriott monthly for work. It is very clean and rooms are large and comfortable. The staff is thoughtful and professional and always strive to make my visit excellent. In particular, Roy, Romeo, and Natasha at the front desk are friendly and always ready and willing to help. Josh provides the best and friendliest valet service in town, always anticipates my needs, and always is cheerful, kind, professional, and knowledgeable about the Portland area.
