Came here last night for New Year’s Eve with two other people (three of us total). It was busy but there wasn’t a line at the door and it was a seat yourself kinda spot, we sat and waited for nearly 10 minutes for someone to greet us and then another five for another cup of water. Ordered drinks and my bf didn’t get a drink and the waitress seemed unhappy about it. We tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and be overly nice but it didn’t work. We ordered drinks and were ready to order our food at that time but the waitress just walked away. 10 minutes later with our drinks and we were able to order apps, but she literally walked away without saying anything before we could just put in the order for food. We didn’t see our waitress again until our apps came out and had to wait another 5-10 to get someone’s attentions for side plates and another silverware set. After finishing our apps, she came over and asked if we wanted anything else????? Finally able to order our meals. All of our food came out at separate times and I was done with my meal by the time my boyfriend even got his food. When his burger came out, it was completely raw and unedible but we were never checked in again so couldn’t ask to cook it any longer. So he took a few bites and didn’t eat the rest. No one asked how our food was or even came for drink refills. We figured it was a busy night for our waitress and really tried being understanding but after walking out and seeing her just standing in the kitchen area eating food from the back, I won’t be back. Disappointed, really wanted to like this place but the waitress’ attitude...
Read moreI was excited to go back here for the first time in a long time. It was Fat Tuesday so honestly I did not expect to even find a seat. The waitress was nice enough to say there were some seats outside and they confirmed they were still dog friendly. I ordered their “jungle bird” drink as I was in the mood for something with rum. The drink was made with pineapple, campari, lime and rum. I assume the pineapple was swapped for grapefruit because it was extremely over the top grapefruit with a hint of rum. I ordered the pulled pork and was just expecting a run of the mill sandwich. I was starving so I did end up eating the thing rather than sending it back. It was actually barely edible as it tasted of way too much salt. The drink helped a bit but it was a struggle to eat it. I should have just stopped and grabbed a bill. I thought it was a fluke and so I ordered a classic drink. One that is tough to screw up. Well, let me just say that Interurban needs to contact the old owner of sidecar 11 that was just down the street. The sidecar was nothing to write home about, had zero garnish, and I doubt if it had all the right Ingredients. Again, I really should have made a comment at this point or just grab a check. I asked for one last thing that looked good on the menu. The hush puppies were on the special menu so I took them to go. Took one bite at home, in the trash. The amount of salt, yes salt in the hush puppies was over the top. Wth Interurban’s chef? Lost a customer. Never again. The waitress was super nice but...
Read moreNot only is the atmosphere cozy & inviting, the food is freakin amazing!! I visited with a medium-sized party on a Saturday night, so we did have to wait a bit to be seated, but they took a phone number to text us so we could wander around. Our server was kind & patient but forgot several things people ordered. We asked for a table out back & were very lucky to get the only big table near the big covered fire pit out back. There is also a covered deck & a few more random tables out back. They are open pretty late too, until 2:30am I believe. So that was nice, as they were our 2nd & final stop for the evening. I had the sloppy joe. I have never put anything so delicious in my mouth before! It was very messy, I perhaps should have cut it up & eaten it with a fork, but I did not care. LOL Perhaps an improvement would be to serve it on some kind of bun that absorbs more of the juicy, meaty goodness. But I ate what fell out with the tasty fries served with it. I also ordered & shared some elote but it was kind of a disappointment. Dry corn, not a truly authentic elote experience. But hey, this isn't a Mexican food joint. The drinks were tasty & everyone else also enjoyed their food. I tried a bite of someone's big, thick, juicy chicken sandwich - made with a breaded chicken thigh y'all! That was very good too. My friend ordered oysters. Very pretty presentation but she only got 3. We all enjoyed, and I will definitely be back to try more foods & drinks & check out the inside...
