Puddletown Bagels Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Portland

Just happened by and tried a plain pumpernickle and a plain blueberry. Alas, wife and I found them to be bland, not richly flavored. The blueberry in the blueberry bagel was in tiny pieces, so small that they had no taste. Pumpernickle had almost no flavor. Texture was okay. Really wanted to like the bagels; the young woman on the counter was friendly and efficient. Suggesion to the owner - get a rubber stamp with your logo, address, phone and email address and stamp the white bags.

And FYI to readers, the in-house prices are lower than those shown on line. I paid $2 each for the 2 bagels, and the day-old bags of 6 assorted were...

Just visited Puddletown Bagels for the first time — the bagels were beautiful and delicious! They have a great selection, including pumpernickel, which is not easy to find. The staff were very kind, helpful, and friendly.

My husband and I had a bagel sandwich for the first time from Puddletown and it was by far one of the best bagel sandwiches we’ve ever had! I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon and eggs and the portion was so big I could barely finish it! Flavor was perfect overall. Prices are extremely reasonable for what you get. This is definitely a repeat and now favorite for us....
