AVOID! The wife and I have been looking for a new local spot with a good happy hour menu for our weekly outings. Picked this place out because it looked chill and had good parking (I'm in a wheelchair, so I that was another thing I'd looked for before coming).
We went on Thurs and arrived about 20 min into happy hour. Place was SO dim---there were so few lights on that at first we weren't sure it was even open. When we did, all we got was stared at from the bartender. I settled at a table in view of the bar and my wife stood around awkwardly for a few moments before going up to the bartender to ask about a happy hour menu. I wouldn't say he was hostile or anything, but we REALLY felt like we didn't belong there and he was just confused at our very existence.
Told there wasn't even someone WORKING in the kitchen that night, so no food. Guy wasn't even friendly when talked to.
There were three guys sitting at the bar. Obviously there to just get drunk and oddly, a young 20-something couple at a pool table (under the only light that was on) who actually seemed to be enjoying themselves----somehow.
Atmosphere was depressed. Carpet was stained. Whole place just gave us an ick vibe, so we left immediately.
Sad to say all those happy pics are from days long past. Keep looking, folks. This place isn't it unless you're looking for a place to drown out your...
Read moreIn my opinion: This bar and grill is relatively new, so it's modern and spacious. There seems to be a healthy patronage, and it's a favorite stop for those with a billiards cue. I drop in occasionally to play video slots and have a beer. If I'm winning on the slots, I'll order Fish and Chips, which I think are very good there. On the downside, I sometimes think there should be more bar staff. I've been there when there was only one bartender, and he/she seemed a bit stretched, leaving me waiting for service. To their credit, the staff are friendly and do the best they can. I think it's worth a visit if you're in the area and looking to stop someplace for a drink, billiards or...
Read moremy girl & i love to go to shamrock... it is our bar. they have 4 free pool tables with lots of room to play on them. they have big bar, lots of tables if you prefer to sit at tables, roomy poker room, ( it's nice not to be all squished together ) it is away from the rest of the bar. but you can still hear the jukebox ( but not too loud ) plus they have Karakoe on friday & saturday nights, with surprisenly enough good singers. not like most places where you want to jab a knife in your ear.... Then last but not least they have great bartenders. ( we all miss you Jen ) so rather you are by your self or with a party come into...
