Ordered drinks, I understand Starbucks has not been having pistachio lately. Some still do so I asked when ordering and was specifically told they had it. I ordered and got my drink and it was pecan and she put that in the order because it was printed on the sticker. Why not tell me the truth? I understand if you don’t have it but I asked twice. It was clearly stated they had it. But she ordered a pecan. I said something to some one who couldn’t care less and went on about not having it. I said I understand but some do so that’s why I asked. She continued explaining, so I just said I get it but she could have told me can I just get a different drink I don’t like pistachio. Seemed I was the issue and I was being polite just communicating and did to avoid this issue when ordering. Then I wait a while and since they don’t put an order in there is no tags with names. I wasn’t told it was remade so I had to ask to get it. Also, I’m middle of the road but you shouldn’t campaign politics while at work. The one person was wearing a Harris Walz hat at work and was rude and seemed...
Read moreMy brutally honest opinion - i work at the airport and come to this location frequently. The Starbucks pdx e concourse location is awful In the mornings but wonderful in the afternoon. I'm not sure what the solution is for the mornings. There's a ridiculous amount of customers, even at 4:30 am. My only suggestion would be more workers but there are a ton of mobile orders too which would understandably make it difficult to keep up with. I am a pretty reasonable and understanding person but the only thing I actually get frustrated with is when they make the drink wrong and you can't grab any of the workers' attention because their so busy. I guess my only true solution is just to make sure they are fully staffed and they have someone making sure the customers that are standing there waiting are properly taken care of and that there are no issues with their orders. They need to figure it out soon cause that type of environment would have high turnover for employees. Other than that, the food and drinks...
Read moreStarbucks—look, we all know what we’re getting into when we walk in: a line, a menu with 85 variations of the same thing, and the likelihood that your name will somehow come out as “Mark” instead of “Mike.” Now, credit where credit’s due—the place is consistent. But, consistent doesn’t always mean good. The coffee itself? It’s hot, it’s caffeinated, and that’s about the nicest thing I can say. It’s burnt half the time, and somehow every cup tastes like it’s been sitting around since Tuesday.
And let’s talk prices. For the cost of a venti whatever-they’re-calling-it-this-month, you could probably buy a whole bag of beans somewhere that doesn’t taste like a campfire. Sure, they’ve got their loyal following, and maybe I’m just old-fashioned, but if I’m paying that much, I want coffee that tastes like coffee, not a science experiment gone wrong. So, two stars for convenience and consistency, but if you’re after a real cup of coffee, you might want to...
