Tillamook Market at PDX (Concourse E)
Tillamook Market at Portland International Airport’s Concourse E is a solid stop for travelers looking for a quality bite before their flight. The space is welcoming and well-designed, offering a good variety of food and drinks, along with Tillamook-branded merchandise.
One of the standout features is their selection of hand-scooped ice cream, perfect for a quick treat. Their motto, “Do right by every bite,” is prominently displayed on the wall and bags, and in my experience, they live up to it.
The staff was friendly, and the place wasn’t overly busy—only one person was ahead of me in line. The service was efficient; my food didn’t take too long, but it wasn’t rushed either.
I ordered the Morning Melt from their breakfast “Rise N Shine” menu (available until 10:30 AM). It came with bacon, a cage-free egg, and both sharp and medium Cheddar (naturally, Tillamook) on a bagel. The sandwich arrived hot and was absolutely delicious—exactly what I needed before a flight. The $11 price felt a bit high, but considering it’s an airport, it was expected.
Overall, Tillamook Market is a great option for a tasty, satisfying meal at PDX. If you appreciate quality dairy and a well-made breakfast sandwich, it’s...
Read moreAhh, Tillamook cheese. What could be more quintessentially Oregon than that? Well, maybe the ice cream! Having the Tillamook Market here inside PDX is such a treat. You can get all your favorite dairy products here, including ones that are normally exclusive to the creamery way out in Tillamook itself. My advice? You gotta get the cheese curds. They're fresh from the factory and fresh curds are SO much better- and they're a perfect airplane snack, to boot! A great place to bring the kids, too- flying is stressful, but a little ice cream can go a long way to making that easier :)
The service here is also amazing. I want to give a special shoutout to Seth White, who really went above and beyond for me. Whether you're an Oregonian looking for a bite of home before heading out into the wider world, or a visitor looking to get one last bit of cheesy goodness on your way back, the Tillamook Market is a wonderful addition to PDX, and I look forward to taking my family there next time we're flying out of...
Read moreUpdate with tips (June 2024) Tip 1: Menu board is not marked, but they do have GF buns. My wife loves the Chicken Cheddar Sandwich on GF and has never had a problem.
Tip 2: However, last time they did not toast the bun. Weekend crew, maybe, seems less experienced. So ask for Toasted GF bun to be certain. Also, ask for bacon 🥓 😋
Tip 3: Go early and get in line. This is a grill. They grill every order as it comes in, which is good. We have had up to 15 minute wait, but can be just 5 to 10 mins. So give yourself time before your boarding
Original review: Nice lunch treat at PDX Airport Southwest gates. They have a grill, not just ice cream. We had wonderful chicken sandwich on gluten free bun. Prepared sous vide, so the chicken was really moist. They also have gluten free buns for burgers, and grill to order....
