The Side Door — Restaurant in Portland

I would love to write a review of their food and drink, but the truth is I could never get any service. I went in about 1:15pm today and they were not that busy. Two wait staff went behind the bar and the tables were about 75% full. I sat at a table directly across from the bar and took time to review the menu and make my choices. One of the staff was on the floor clearing tables and passed my table at least 5 times in the 20 to 25 minutes I sat there without so much as a hello or I will be with you shortly. The other staffer was more interested in putting away dishes and playing on her cell. My menus were lying on the table (clearly indicating that I was ready to order) and I was trying to make some eye contact with them to get there attention. This is our 4th year spending our New Years weekend in the Lincoln City area, each year we try to find places to explore and eat. This place was recommend by a good friend so we decided to give them try, a reservation is highly recommended. The atmosphere was really nice a little bit on the darker side, but it was very acceptable. Staff was very friendly. Our waiter was exceptionally informative and friendly as well. Mildly polite and contentious staff. Confused about what makes nachos good. They bake thiers. Not sure why. Causing the bland chicken to dry. While all the ingredients are fresh they are poorly put together. Beans look like dried out rabbit terds. For a town that is diversed i think they need help from the Mexicans. The plate of nachos is extremely large. Using real cheese solidifies before you get 5 bites in. So if you are a hipster without knowledge of what the real world is enjoy going here.
