First of all, I just want to say the beer is fantastic! The Engelberg Pilsner might be one of the best pilsners I’ve ever had.
However, the staff that I’ve interacted with have been mediocre at best. For example, today I saw that many people had 4 ounce pours of beer, so when I came up to get bottles to go, I also wanted to get a 4 ounce pour of something that sounded interesting but I didn’t want a full pour of. I told the bar tender I wanted a 4 ounce pour and then he proceeded to pour me a full glass of it while mumbling he couldn’t really do that but with brewers he had to. I’m not sure what that meant, but he should have said that before pouring me the beer and charging me for a full glass. Furthermore, their standout beer was not available in cans, which makes no sense from a business operations view.
For my other experiences with the staff, I have felt like I was an inconvenience to them when I ordered the way they interacted with me…..no greeting or asking me how I was doing, but rather a blank stare.
This brewery could be so much more if they had good bartenders and made small changes to...
Read moreCame here on Sunday evening 2021-11-21 just prior to attending an event at Moda Center. Quite a few people had the same idea of drinking here rather than at Moda Center, so it was quite busy. There were only about a dozen tables or less, so it was challenging to find an empty table. Additionally, there was literally only one server behind the counter, so the line and wait got quite long. The gentleman behind the counter was nice and patient; the pressure of the long line did not appear to faze him whatsoever. He was quite deliberate in his pace. The ambiance of the small brewery was nice, comfortable, and modern. Restrooms were clean and require a key, which are hanging near the counter. Parking can be challenging...
Read moreVery knowledgeable brewer and great experience tasting, especially recommend the four hands! The flavors of the aged beers was simply amazing, more than reason enough to make the trip out here. First off, this place seems like a hidden treasure because it is located in a building that is otherwise unused and walking into the first floor looks like you have arrived at an abandoned office. Walking down into the basement, the brewery itself is not large and the seating area is very limited. We arrived early in the afternoon and were seated at the bar, the brewer gave us a rundown of the menu and made our...
