Food: I opted for the Chef's Special crepe, which featured shrimp and garlic. As a garlic fan, I found it to be absolutely delicious! The addition of gravlax (cured salmon) that I ordered as an extra ingredient added a nice layer of flavor and texture. Our friend also enjoyed their crepe selection, making it a successful breakfast outing for all.
Price: Chefs Special is $16, Gravlax add-on is $5, Tip $3.78. Total $24.78
Experience: Urban Creperie offered a fun and unique breakfast experience, perfect for introducing our non-local friend to something different. The self-service ordering system was interesting – you scan a barcode, place your order, and pay upfront. While it's efficient, it's important to note that meals are served as they are prepared, so your group may not receive their food all at once. This might be a drawback for larger groups who prefer a more traditional, synchronized dining experience. However, for solo diners or smaller groups who don't mind separate serving times, it can be a quick and convenient way to order.
Overall: Urban Creperie offers a unique and flavorful crepe experience, with a variety of options to suit different tastes. The self-service ordering system is efficient but may not be ideal for large groups who want their meals served together. However, for solo diners or smaller groups seeking a quick and delicious breakfast, Urban Creperie is definitely...
Read moreWe've been here twice over the past two weeks, and everything we've ordered has been consistently delicious!
No complaints, at all, and we'll be back again soon.
Even very pleased with the Cappuccino as I expected something average. It was coffee bar quality! A delightful surprise. Cold Brew Coffee, Iced Tea, and the Bellini were all delicious as well.
The Crêpes are thin, light, and cooked to perfection. The fillings are uniquely flavoured and well seasoned. I made the mistake of ordering the Mushroom Crêpe on my first visit, and now I don't think I'll ever try another one, because it was PHENOMENAL! I ordered it again today, and it tasted EXACTLY the same as the first one. I like the small, lightly dressed mixed greens that they serve along with the savoury Crêpes.
The Sweet Crêpes are AMAZING! So far we've tried the Sweet Cheese Crêpe (Green Matcha Sweet Cheese, Fresh Strawberries), the Ricotta Cheese Crêpe with House Made Preserves, and the Apple Pie Crêpe (Apple Preserve, Bourbon Caramel Sauce, Graham Cracker). All absolutely wonderful.
Very friendly and helpful staff. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Comfortable...
Read moreI ordered a fruit crepe to go. It was ready very quickly ,which is probably why it was undercooked. The box it came in had milk in it not cream. There was a small Container with about one large spoonful of whipped creme. There was strawberry in it but thin pieces And a little banana (which I had asked for And for which I was charged $1 extra even though it was substituting for blueberries). Overall a very poor experience and overpriced at 13 dollars. The place was completely empty.
In reply to the owner:(not sure where else to reply) It was a take-out strawberry/blueberry/whipped cream fruit crepe with a little banana substituting for blueberries ordered on 5/26/21 around 5pm. As I wrote, crepe was undercooked, there was milk in the bottom of the box and the whipped cream portion was tiny. The crepe was bland. The only good part was the banana slices. The strawberry consisted of tiny slices lacking A strong strawberry taste (probably previously frozen). By the way, there was no powdered sugar on the folded crepe ! The 13.00 dollar price was too high. One can get a much better and similar item at a food cart for 6...
