MACHUS — Local services in Portland

Simply the best mens wear store in the Pacific Northwest. I go to school near Seattle, but frequently make the two hour trek - one way - to visit Machus (yes I am aware of their online store I just like trying things on before I spend money along with other reasons highlighted below). Superb selection from hyped streetwear (off white, yeezy season x), basics (in house brand), to the more avant garde (Henry Vibskov). I love just checking out their selection and envisioning potential new outfits. Machus has had a huge impact on my personal style through their varied selection. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and fashion savvy who completely know the ins and outs of their inventory (and have worked with me in finding alternatives if I am going for a particular style). I could not recommend Machus highly enough to anyone remotely interested in contemporary mens fashion. If I had to give them an area to improve it would be in expanding their selection of shoes (at this moment) they only really have Vans, Adidas, and Rick Owens (though this changes with different seasons, in the past they have had offerings from Raf Simmons, Yeezy season combat boots, etc). Along with this the shoe selection takes up but a small section of the store compared to the clothing. It would be nice to see them expand the selection of shoes to include other styles and brands. Phenomenal range of quality product from the best men's clothing companies around the country. From contemporary streetwear to higher fashion selections, there's something for everyone who wants to push the docket. With so many different styles, there's no problem finding the right fit. Store signature line is also on point, they've made some of the best tees I've owned - comfy material, great fit, solid price. The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, so the in-store experience is always a breeze. Been here a bunch, and will continue to check them back in the future. Stock rotates frequently, which is good for my closet, and bad for my wallet. All in all, an exceptionally good trade-off. the only drawback that strikes me is that the footwear options are limited, but what Machus lacks in quantity in this department, it makes up...
