Earth Eagle Brewings in Portsmouth, NH for a fun Tuesday afternoon visit. This is my second time here, my first being in May of 2022. This place is fun because they're not afraid to experiment with & merge different styles together. Definitely happy that these guys were open on a Tuesday, a lot of places aren't, but the NH seacoast seems to be all in on being open seven days a week or close to it. The last time I was here I had six different tasters to try as much as I could, but this time I grabbed a few full pours that I hadn't had.
The three pints I got were the SUPER KITTY HOPPY LAGER, ROGGEN THE NIGHT Roggenbier & the BLUE BEAR BLUEBERRY PALE ALE. They all ranged in quality, but the SUPER KITTY HOPPY LAGER & the ROGGEN THE NIGHT were both the winners. The roggenbier is a style I'm happy comes around more during the fall season, I wish all these Oktoberfest beers (minus pumpkin) were available alllll year long, but then this time of year wouldn't be as fun. 🍻🤦♂️🍁
I sat inside at the bar this time around, but previously I had sat outside in the patio area, there is tables & hightop options as well inside. Definitely a seacoast aesthetic inside which doesn't get old for me since the whole surrounding region reminds me of staying in Rye, NH on the beach in my parents time share a few weeks every summer until I was 18 or so. My beertender Ashley was great & super friendly. I had eaten earlier, but she still almost made me get something else naming off the food options in front of me, the sign of a good server. Fun experience, glad they were open Monday's for sure! 🍻🍻🔥☘🍁

Read moreAfter a nice little walk around Portsmouth, I was feeling a bit hangry. Fortunately, Earth Eagle Brewing was nearby so we stopped to check it out.
We each got a flight of our own beers and split the what the duck and manchego date Sammies with chips. Yussssssssssss!
What’s unique about this brewery is that it has an extensive list of gruit beers, or beers flavored with herbs and spices instead of hops. I loved their honey one that they had a long time ago and their fruity ones the best.
Now, onto the I heavenly sandwiches. What the duck was by far the favorite, although we were both happy to try the manchego date as it was different but a bit too rich with the melty goodness from the cheese and the sweetness from the dates. The duck pastrami sammy was hearty, flavorful, and delicious. On the side, you can select from chips, slaw, or do half and half of each.
They have an outside patio where you can share a picnic tables with other guests and a handful of indoor seating, so sitting shouldn’t be a problem unless they are jam packed. And like others have mentioned, the customer service here...
Read moreMy first encounter at Earth Eagle Brewing. Very comfortable seating with a pleasant atmosphere and exclectic decorations. Hot Dog and Hamburger fare is perfect for delicious lunches. They have very creative topping ideas and a plain one for less adventurous patrons. I will also like to add that the Shields brand is already my favorite frank and I was glad they have them. The only one in the group that had a burger liked it also. Great selection of quality brews! We each had a flight which was clearly labeled when they arrived so we knew which ones were chosen. Our service was great and knowledgeable of the products. A couple in our party also enjoyed cocktails. We had a teen with us so I want to add how friendly a place is was for him. A good time was felt by all! I'm excited to try out the Somersworth location now. I will recommend Earth Eagle Brewing for others...
