Boom Street Burgers — Restaurant in Poulsbo

We first experienced this truck at its new advertised location on 7th Street in Poulsbo on September 26th, 2025. The burger was decent but the fries are a little prepackaged thing of steak fries that are meh at best. It was a little overpriced but my girl enjoyed their chipotle burger so we decided to visit them again. They weren’t at the original location so we called the number on their menu that we had grabbed during our first visit. When we called them we found out they were on Bainbridge Island by Sister’s Cider House so we decided to drive out there. We arrived at there Friday night October 3rd, 2025 at around 7pm.

The reason I am writing this is because an hour or two later my stomach began writhing in pain. Shortly after 10:30pm I began to vomit profusely until it was just bile. After that my stomach was still hurting immensely. I then had a horrible bout of diarrhea that lasted for about 30 minutes. I’m very regular and my stools are solid. I didn’t eat anything unusual the last few days much less anything at all for several hours before. Thankfully my girl said hers tasted off and only ate a little. She seems okay for now though she did say she felt like she was cramping a little.

I’m 100% confident this place was the culprit. If you look at my previous reviews I only leave good ones unless there is something egregiously wrong. I feel that most people find it easy to leave reviews when they are offended and I try to only review places that go above and beyond but I view this as a PSA. There were many families ordering here with children and I do not wish this on anyone. Please excuse the picture. I’m including it for continuity purposes

They just opened and I really wish them all the best. I hope they implement a few changes. Clean the equipment more thoroughly, avoid cross contamination and, most importantly, make sure their burgers are cooked to the proper temperature.

I wouldn’t have left a review had this not happened because there wasn’t anything particularly amazing besides the employees being very cheerful and nice but if I were to review it, had this second visit not happened, I would have given it a 4. The burger was decent and the service was good. For the price there are a lot of better options. They could use better fries and I don’t feel as though a 12oz can of soda is enough, again, with the price being the main consideration.

I’m not sure if it is franchised or what but the truck itself seems to be family owned and local. They seemed to have just started and I still wish them the absolute best in their endeavors but I really pray that my experience an exception as I worry about the other patrons from that night. Prior to this last visit, I would have gone back once in a blue moon to give my support but after this visit I will definitely not...

Taste: best burger I have had in North Kitsap! The fries were also fantastic!

Appearance: put together well, great portions, and buns were not soggy.

Service: friendly and professional Truck appearance: clean and everything looked organized and well maintained.

Overall review: This place is a great addition to the area! I love how a drink and fries are included! I hope they stay long term because it's hard to find a good burger joint...
