I don't get to Wendy's very often, maybe once or twice a year, so when I took the bus to Poulsbo a couple of weeks back I was pleasantly surprised to see Wendy's right next door to the Wal-Mart bus stop. I went across the street to Wal-Mart first to pick up a couple of things that aren't carried at the smaller, Highway 303 store. I thought about buying some groceries since they have a supermarket in-store and I was hungry having missed breakfast, but I opted to hang on until I was done with everything else and go grocery shopping later closer to home. I was really hungry and thirsty by the time I crossed back over the street to Wendy's and I had 40 minutes before the bus took me back to Silverdale, so now I'm in full Wendy's mode but not a clue as to what I wanted. As I neared the door I saw a poster for their new $5.00 deal, which I'm afraid I forgot what it's called, but I just pointed it out to the smiling, pretty girl at the counter, paid, got my iced tea which was included, and sat in the clean, bright, and I assume remodeled dining area, with TV and gas fireplace, (although it was over 80 degrees that day). I had forgot to pick up a straw for my tea and as I reached the drink station my number was called with my lunch, none too soon! Where to start? Well, several French fries on the way back to the table, of course! The meal consisted of a bacon deluxe cheeseburger, 4 chicken nuggets, fries and a drink. Not bad when I normally spend around $10.00 at McDonalds or Burger King. I'm not a huge chicken fan, but they were better than Burger Kings, which are pretty bland, and not quite as good as McD's. The burger was WAY better than either, fresh, juicy and not just a pile of lettuce on a bun in a box with too much sauce, like the other 2! Their fries were really good too. Not McDs, (the best) but I ate all of them and wanted more! All in all, I was very pleased with Wendy's, except when I walked out to go to the bus stop, I wish I had ordered another $5.00 meal as I was still a little hungry and Wendy's was such a nice change. I can't...
Read moreFood may be decent, but the line for the five through was huge-I was 16th car and wound through the neighboring parking lot while people were trying to get in the line from the street. Big lines means time to get creative, so I ran up to the dining room to see if I could place a to-go order (yeah, I REALLY had that much time), but the dining room was locked and they only yelled "dining room closed" and a few choice words. Well....ok, they're stressed, I get it, not going to get upset about it-we've all had those days. Well, that failed, so what to do? Try ordering on-line! That....no bueno. That gave my food-ordering exploration ONE LAST try-calling in a phone order. About that.... I got someone to answer (shocking), but it was the string of names I was called that really shocked me. Suffice it to say that Wendy's REFUSES to do phone orders. Not really surprising, though. I get they were busy, I wish them well, I'll never go back there again. Don't cuss at me (or at the person who's order you messed up-yeah I saw that, too chump and bet you wouldn't have talked to him like you did if he weren't old) and expect my...
Read moreI go this Wendy’s pretty regularly and I’ve never had an issue. Yeah, sometimes it can be a little bit of a wait but I don’t necessarily blame the workers for that.
The point of this review though is to give props to someone in specific. I went through the drive thru around 10PM this last Friday night(10/11/24) and the line was very long. I mean it was backed up about 9 or 10 cars. Anyway, Isaiah(I believe), one of the managers was extremely efficient in taking orders and all. I was very impressed how calm and collected he was when it was clear they were getting SWARMED. The guy looked like a machine when dealing with so many drinks, frosties and punching in orders while taking them from customers in the drive thru. I believe there was only himself and 1 cook working at the time, based off what I saw when I pulled up to the 2nd window, so huge props to him and the other worker at this time. (Sorry I didn’t get your name!) It’s clear these people work hard and if they’re learning from Isaiah, they’re gonna be a very smooth running fast food joint. Thanks so much,...
