I took my great niece and nephew out for a late lunch/ early dinner, Friday for their “we’re out of school for the summer”treat. We ate at Arnold’s on 81, this was my first dining experience at Arnold’s. They have a rating of 4.6, and a lot of good reviews. The other dining choice was Real Pizza(where I really wanted to go) I haven’t had Real Pizza, since it was in Easley MANY years ago(telling my age I know!!). After hearing Arnold’s food choices the kiddies decided on Arnold’s, and they do love a hamburger. Arnold’s is an old restaurant, that’s been around for a minute. Not much money goes into its upkeep, which probably helps keeps their prices down. The place is a lot like Pete’s to me. They’re well known for their “famous” hamburgers, that I did not order. I ordered the “ famous” club plate not the ham melt, not the ham, tomato and lettuce sandwich. My sides were fries and slaw. The club wasn’t what I was expecting, no description of this “famous” club sandwich on the menu. I thought it would be one of those triple decker toasted club sandwiches cut into 4 wedges, held together with those long toothpicks of Turkey, ham, bacon, cheese, Mayo lettuce and tomatoes. Imagine my disappointment when I got a two slices of toasted bread, 6 slices of boiled ham sandwich with cheese, bacon, mayo, lettuce and tomato cut in half. I would have been ok with the two slices of toasted bread if their “famous” club had not been missing the Turkey. I guess the 6 slices of boiled ham was suppose to hide the missing Turkey. The kiddies got one of their “famous” hamburgers, one classic burger and one bacon cheeseburger, both with the works, no onions. We all got fries as our side, and the fries were tasty, fresh and hot. They loved their food. My rating is for the food I ordered. The boiled ham sandwich was only ok to me. I had Arnold’s on my “food list” of places to try, I did and it will more than likely be my first and last time dining here, a few of their customers acted like it was the first time they had seen brown people. I can make a boiled 6 slices of ham sandwich at home.

The place was nasty. My family and I went to have lunch here on Saturday. Walked in around 12pm and were the only customers in the place. As we were sitting down I noticed how dirty everything was. The whole place was still dirty from the night before. Our table was dirty, floors were filthy and to top it off while looking at the crumbs all of the floor I noticed a roach bug running to get away. Told or server about the roach and didn't really get a response or anyone to even look or care. Food has been good here in the past but I'm beyond grossed out. Bugs on the floor and somebody else's crumbs still on the table. Had to clean our own table and seats. Nobody really ate their food in fear of how unsanitary things could be in the kitchen where we couldn't see. Pictures don't really show how dirty it really was.

Only have the burger and fries with chili. And unlike all these other little restaurants around here like the clock, skins or Henry's. Arnold's actually has really good chili. I got to go order and I requested in the special request to add Chili's to my fries to have chili cheese fries and lo and behold they did it like how awesome is that. The few times I've eaten here and they've always been to go orders have always been amazing. I recommend this restaurant to anyone for at least the burgers in the restaurant I'm not sure about everything else

The service here is not okay. For some background context, I’m 14, but could pass as 15 or 16. I walk in because I had a take out order, and the cashier was in the back and I wasn’t sure if I should go back there or not. So I stood there waiting for longer than 10 mins (I ordered my food 20 mins in advance) and I made eye contact with not one, not two, but THREE servers, and they all ignored me. I also overheard one of the servers conversation, “ do you know why that girl at the front is standing there?” But I didn’t say anything not wanting to be rude. I wait about another 5 mins, the server comes over and asks, “ honey what do you need?” As if I was an incompetent 4th grader. I told her I had a to go order, and that’s when my mom walked in because it was taking so long. They were still rude and made lots of rude side comments. And about my food, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce tomato mayo and ketchup. There was no ketchup or bacon and the patty was overall not good. I also got sweet potato fries and they were horrible. They were anything but sweet, burnt, and they even managed to make them soggy. Have come here multiple times before, and no complaints, until now, and this was not a good experience. I would much more recommend nickehenrys,...

9/29/2025 Arrived around 5:50 pm. not many people in the restaurant my family and i sat for a little over 10 minutes in our usual spot by the door and none of the wait staff greeted us and no one provided us with menus or even came to take a drink order. this has not been the experience we have had in the past. this place used to have great service. 2 families came in during this 10 minute time and were addressed and provided menus and drinks while we were ignored. even looking around to the servers to make eye contact to try to get their attention in a polite way no one came to our table. i am severely disappointed about the way we were disregarded and ignored. we used to love coming to arnolds, but after this experience, we will not be coming back. one time of this level of neglect and disregard from server staff is enough to never want to experience this again. we wound up walking over to Nickhenrys restaurant for our evening dinner. its a real shame that a place we once loved going to has gone down hill with their level of respect for their...
