NickHenry's Restaurant — Restaurant in Powdersville

One of the worst dinning experiences EVER! I was in Powdersville for a doctor appointment, finished up @ Noon. My husband & I decided to try some different & went to NickHenry's. The staff were friendly & the menu has many options. When asked if we wanted fries & slaw, I SPECIFICALLY asked if there were pickles in the slaw, explaining my husband is severely allergic. The lady said there were no pickles in the slaw. We finished ordering & sat to wait. 10 minutes later upon receiving our order, you could see there were DEFINITELY pickles in the slaw. Plus there was a pickle spear on the side of the plate! I took the slaw back to the front & explained to another lady what the problem was, & stated I asked before he ordered it & was told there were NO PICKLES in it. She was very apologetic & asked if we would like extra fries. I declined. Mind you this is 2 MAJOR STRIKES on the order takers part!!! Now on to order # 2: I ordered a Mushroom Swiss Burger. I indeed received a burger with mushrooms on it, but the cheese was NOT Swiss, but white American cheese. Not at all what I ordered!! Had they let me know they were out of SWISS, I would have chosen something else entirely!! I will NOT return! I will NOT recommend to family or friends! Folks use CAUTION when eating here! The food is good for what it is. I’ve tried various things. Obviously I recognize some days will be better than others with nailing it everytime. It’s got some of my cheat meal cravings for pretty good prices. My main issues are the consistent inaccuracy of my orders and how long they take for both dine in and pick up. Called in two meals this last time, she asked me about the toppings on one of them. Picked it up and they said only one meal was called in…. The one with the toppings wasn’t on the slip when she specifically asked me about them and the other was just fish?? So then we had to wait for them to rush that order. We’ve eaten in house. Always an error there as well as everytime we’ve picked up. I’ve seen other reviews about the young staff that run the place and I’m glad they have a work opportunity but I’ve had the same experience. It seems as though they never quite know what’s going on since we’ve been going here over the last year. Always friendly staff but lots of them running around with confusion and the orders still take 20-35 minutes to pump out. They do nickel and dime you on sauces, extra tartar was a dollar. Wasn’t informed of that and was surprised to see it when your getting a fish meal. I’ll def continue going as I like the food but it’s going to be less unfortunately. This being my first visit today, I went inside and placed a to go order for the Baby Club Plate. The staff was friendly and answered questions about items I was unsure about. However, once I was on the way home, less than 1/2 mile from the restuarant, grabbed a fry to munch on, immediately notice that it was luke warm. Then I called the restaurant to find out if that was the way they served their fries, the lady put me on hold and when she came back on the line proceeding to inform me that the cook said they had just made them, informed her that couldn't be true and said thank you then ended the call. Now I'm at home having to toast the fries because they are completely cold, rwally not happy with that. But, on a up note, the Baby Club is good.
