Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Prattville

May 2025 Update: They clearly took customer feedback to heart! I haven’t had any of the below issues since my original review. Each employee has been a pleasure to interact with, and I will genuinely miss stopping by for my daily fix. 🥰

Love the coffee and enjoy going nearly daily. Their workers are always nice and flattering, and the personal touch in ordering/delivering is a nice trend. They’ve also never messed up my drinks. HOWEVER, a few recurring issues:

The double-line process confuses those who don’t read the sign, which causes a “you cut me” tension to those who don’t understand it. Recommend making the sign BIGGER to go into the shorter line and CLEARLY telling customers they must go behind a certain customer so individuals don’t flip the bird at each other (yes, it’s happened). The employees taking orders need to be more attentive/deliberate to not skip or forget customers in line. Their whole line system relies on trusting their process, so it’s awkward when the process fails. Luckily, you can just drive up to the window if someone kind lets you in, but it shouldn’t resort to that. The indoor/outdoor music is way too loud, making it difficult for both parties to hear. Very commonly an issue at the window. The average wait time whenever there is a line (weekday or weekend) is 15-30 mins. Worst I’ve experienced is 50 mins. Not a complaint but an observation that acts as a detractor to how often I can get Dutch Bros based on time.

In the end, I love this place, but it can stand to improve...

I was absolutely thrilled when I heard Dutch Bros was coming to itty bitty prattville! I’d been to Plano Tx and Huntsville Al and there was Dutch Bros but now they’re in prattville!!

The team at the windows are so kind - even during the most hectic hours and I’ve never had a bad encounter with the folks who take your order from the drive through.

The drinks are super tasty too! They have the right balance of sweetness to coffee flavor ratio - it’s worth being late to work for some days!

My biggest issue, though… is the ordering ahead. I love having the option to order through an app and have my favorites ready for me when I get there. I live 15 minutes away so it’s always perfect timing. The problem though, is there is always so much confusion at the walk up window. There’s no clear distinction between people who are picking up a mobile order, individuals who are waiting to place their order and those who are waiting to pick up the order they’ve just placed. Sometimes I feel it defeats the purpose of having the ability to order ahead.

I mean, I totally get having to wait in the drive thru line if you’ve ordered ahead because there is no way to have two different lines. But the person who chats you up at the drive through window would be a good person to place at the walk up window.

If the walk up window can be adjusted then this would be the only coffee place worthy of 5+...

Wow, last night I had the most fantastic Dutch Bros experience thanks to an incredible barista named Julya! From the moment I walked up, her energy was infectious and she greeted me with such genuine warmth. But what really made my day was the amazing connection we made. As I was ordering my usual (a medium iced golden eagle, soft top, sweet cream, extra sweet, with caramel drizzle in the cup), Julya's eyes lit up and she exclaimed that it was her exact same order! I was absolutely blown away – what are the chances?! We had such a fun moment bonding over our shared love for this particular drink. Beyond that serendipitous moment, Julya's service was truly top-notch. She was efficient, friendly, and my was made drink perfectly and quickly. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does and cares about making each customer's experience special. As someone who loves coffee and really appreciates those little moments of connection, Julya completely made my day. It's baristas like her who turn a simple coffee run into a bright spot in my day and solidify my love for Dutch Bros. If you ever visit this location, I highly recommend seeking out Julya – you're in for some truly amazing service and maybe even a fun connection...
