I ordered 2 bacon, egg, & cheese McGriddles and an orange juice. My whole order showed up correctly on the ordering screen at the drive-thru. The young girl taking my order also called out my full order to me, correctly (2 bacon, egg, & cheese McGriddles and an orange juice). However, when I got to the payment window, she mistakenly charged me for just one McGriddle and an orange juice, instead of 2 McGriddles and an orange juice. When I noticed it on the receipt, I had already pulled forward and someone had pulled behind me—leaving me to notify them at the next window. I let the woman at the next window know what happened. She apologized, then she told me I would have to pull around, again, to receive a second McGriddle. Okay, no problem! I pull around, again, like I was just told to. I’m about to explain what happened. The young girl comes on the speaker at the drive-thru and says something really fast that I can’t understand. I say, “sorry, I didn’t hear you.” She repeats herself, but I only catch the last part of what she said, which was “thank you.” It goes quiet. I say, “I’m sorry, but I can’t understand anything you’re saying.” It’s quiet still. I say, “hello?” It’s quiet for about 30 more seconds, then she comes back on the speaker. You hear her exhale deeply, then she starts speaking to me in a slower tone. Her tone is also a lot different, and I can immediately tell she now has an attitude with me. She says, “can you please hold for me for just one second? Thank you!” I reply, “yes, I’m sorry! You were speaking so fast, I wasn’t able to understand what you were saying.” I politely hold until she’s able to take my order, with no problem! She comes back on the speaker, and says, “order when you’re ready!”
Me: “Hi, I had ordered 2 bacon, egg, & cheese McGriddles, but….” She cuts me off mid sentence
Drive-thru girl: “Breakfast has stopped, we’re on lunch, now!”
Me: “I know, but I was told to pull back around because….She cuts me off mid sentence, AGAIN
Drive-thru girl: “Pull around to the last window!”
I pull to the first window to let her know she didn’t ring my order up correctly. However, she never opens the window. She just stood there with her arms folded. Anyways, I pull to the second window, again, and there is a different woman there this time. The woman who told me to just pull back around was a young Caucasian woman with dark hair. The new person at the window was an older black woman. I had to explain the situation all over again. I’m telling this new person at the window how rude and disrespectful the drive-thru girl was to me when I tried to explain the mistake she (drive-thru girl) made on my receipt, and that I was told to just swing back around to get another. The black woman at the second window says, “breakfast is over, so we won’t be able to get you a McGriddle, but we have muffins. Do you want muffins?” I rely, “no, thank you!” Next, I pull in the parking lot to call the manager. The woman who answers the phone claims she’s the manager—I doubt it! Anyways, I explain what happened for the third time. She goes, “Breakfast is over, but we do have about 4 muffins leftover, if you want a muffin!” I reply, “no, thank you! I understand breakfast is now over, however, I just had a bad experience.” I tell her (manager) about the rude/disrespectful girl taking the drive-thru orders. The manager asks, “are you from around here? You can come back tomorrow and get you one.” I’m agitated and fully pissed off at this point because she’s not really comprehending anything I’m saying. I’m not receiving any type of apology for the way I was treated by one of the staff members. She’s not offering me any type of reasonable resolution. It’s like she’s just trying to rush me off the phone. I simply say, “that’s okay, I’m just going to call corporate,” and I hang up the phone. I’ve called corporate, filed a complaint, and they’ve told me that I should be contacted soon. They’ve told me that they would need to apologize to me and come up with a resolution...
Read moreMcDonalds as a chain overall i'm not too fond of.
But you can't beat their prices on certain things like their fudge sundaes that are just over a dollar, so when you want a quick and cheap fix for ice cream, it's one of the best places to stop without buying a tub of it at wal-mart. Right next door is Dairy Queen and their blizzards are 3-5 times as much money. They taste a little better sure, but you can't beat the value.
Anyway, I give this place 4 stars because of all the McDonalds locations in the pratville/millbrook area, this one has the best staff and fastest service. That one at the intersection of Highway 14 and Main Street will screw up your order as much as 50% of the time and they also take FOREVER to get your order finished. This one at least usually does a decent enough job of getting you the right food and in a somewhat timely manner. They have off days sometimes but that is McDonalds for you as a whole.
Bottom line: If you want McDonalds in the area, this is the one you go to for the "best" service.
Also, Pro Tip: Making that left turn across all those lanes of traffic can really suck at certain times of the day. All you have to do is go right down that little access road that runs by the gas station, hardees, and to that hotel. Turn into Hardees and leave out the back, it puts you on a little very seldom used road that goes to Bass Pro (like a supplies road, not the one to the customer or even employee parking). I always go this route and i've only ever seen two people in my life going down that road. Just go left and get on Bass Pro Blvd (which is also pretty sparse in traffic) and you can just hit that light to get back onto Cobbs Ford road going left easy peasy. Even during rush hour, there are always long openings to make that turn on Bass Pro Blvd and I have routinely taken note of cars leaving McDonalds waiting to pull out onto Cobbs Ford to go left, and even after my detour and waiting briefly for the light, they are still sitting there waiting to pull...
Read moreI can’t even with the restaurants that have a curbside pickup sign marking parking spaces, the option to order curbside pickup on their app but they don’t actually provide curbside pickup! McDonalds REMOVE YOUR SIGNS PLEASE!! This added an extra hour (hour plus bc we are still waiting) to our 4 hour drive home. Not needed. Thank you to the lady who allowed me to interrupt her drive through experience to ask a question while I stood in the cold rain bc all doors were locked to enter the restaurant. Thank you to the worker for not being too rude about my cluelessness that the clearly marked curbside parking spots were not for curbside pickup but just decorated so for absolutely no reason and instructed me to wait in the very long drive through line to then tell us that they don’t have our already paid for order that we have no way to cancel or get reimbursed… Y’all… I CAN’T! We then were instructed to pull up and wait (a few feet from the decorated parking spots) for them to walk our order out to us when they finish it. My poor kiddos are so hungry … please do a momma a favor and just remove the option if you don’t provide it. Still waiting… 🙇♀️
** Update: we waited another 10 minutes (75 minutes total) for them to make our order after they asked us to pull forward and they would walk it out to us. We then walked to the window again in the rain… they had forgotten we were there. Handed us part of our order and it was wrong… I would not recommend this place. Sigh! Go...
