The staff is the reason they got the 3 stars, most of them are friendly and professional. A lack of rifle ammo caliber diversity they have is a bit aggravating. The fact that our BPS has a line of rifle ammo shelves 30' long and carries multiple name brands doesn't mean you can find your caliber. Anything aside from the obvious 223, 243, 270, 7RM, 30-30, 308, 30-06, and 300WM, means they likely don't have it and don't expect to see any come in... The only calibers I saw off the beaten path were 22 Hornet and 6.5 Creedmoor, an old school veteran and the new hopeful, until the next best-ever round enters the scene.

I asked about 257 Roberts and received a mild chuckle; I asked about 7x57 and was told that they had 2 boxes in stock. I decided to buy dies to reload but, again, found only the usual suspects... With all the ammo and reloading gear I looked at, I came away without any rounds. The counter guy apologized but said that I could order online. I will, but not with BPS! Here's the big box theory and corporate slogan - "These rounds are what you should buy because they're what sells..." NEWS FLASH - If BPS actually carried a more diverse selection of ammo, more locals would purchase from them. If stores won't stock it, they can't sell it!

This is not the fault of the local staff but has to do with BPS Corporate. The 3 stars I gave was because of the staff, the score should have been a 5 but the corporate big cheeses trying to make everyone buy and shoot only a few calibers are the reason I knocked the...

It's the perfect leisurely shipping experience for any outdoor enthusiast. Prices are fair for the merchandise, but it's not a discount store; when you patronize this establishment, you are paying for the experience...not just the product. The nature/sportsman like atmosphere is brought to life by the visual artistry evident around every corner. You won't be disappointed by the abundance of North America large and small game trophy mounts displayed all throughout the store. You'll certainly be impressed if not in total awe of the two live aquatic life exhibits, one freshwater and one saltwater. To top it all off, the staff is knowledgeable and definitely on top of their game when it comes to delivering service with pride and integrity. I feel like the staff always overdelivers when I need assistance. This local store...

As always, the store is quite an experience with the aquarium and taxidermy. Selection is great and prices pretty reasonable. I was disappointed in their huge clearance section. Many of the items didn't have clearance stickers on them. Not just the random item a customer walked over with and left there. Multiples of the same items. In a few cases I found a clearance tag on a different size. A few I didn't. For whatever reason, the clerk honored the clearance price on all the male items without tags but none of the females. When I asked why, she said she couldn't without the clearance tag. (Yet she just rang up all my husband's items without tags.) Not like they cater to women, but it was still...
