One last opportunity to enjoy "Happy Hour" at Augie's before the restaurant closes for good on December 23rd 2023. (Unfortunately, the landlord failed to renew their lease.) Hopefully they can relocate elsewhere in the Prescott area, in the near future. Paige, our server recommended the Crispy Shrimp wonton wrappers with a sweet chili sauce, and a sour cream drizzle. My daughter had the wings with sweet chili sauce and spicy thai wings. Our third choice was the grilled whole artichoke served with lemon caper aioli. Accompanied by a glass of Chardonnay. Ample, suffice with no room left for dessert...and no "next time." 😥 Thanks to Paige for her attentiveness, prompt service, and beaming smile. We wish her every success in her new venture...😀

First, start with a reservation! This place is popular. Second go between 4-6pm for Happy Hour. They discount appetizers and wine. Next ask for Amy. Seriously one of the best servers, friendly with a sense of humor. The wine menu is limited. We went with a recommendation - Canyon Road Merlot. Lovely. For dinner we both ordered the Pot Roast. Oh my! Enough for 3 meals! It was easily pulled apart with a fork. Asparagus spears cooked perfectly and we chose garlic mashed potatoes. Yum! Dessert? We shared the Key Lime Tart. Tasty. Was introduced to the gracious owner, Augie, on our way out. Will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!!

We've eaten here before but it's been 4 or 5 years. We were very pleased with our experience here. We got the gluten free calamari and it was the most tender I've ever had. The sauces it came with were too bland for me. I would have preferred a cocktail sauce. My steak with mushrooms was perfectly cooked and had a nice flavor. I got the sweet potato fries and they were very good. My wife got fish & chips and she was also very pleased with it. The batter was very light and tasty.

If you ever wondered what sad tastes like, look no further because I truly have found the fountain of sadness pouring out of this kitchen! After reading menu and checking out the owner's background I was looking forward to a meal here. Add to it the fact that my wife and I were absolutely starving and we were ready to eat! We both ordered bowls of the onion soup and the lobster nachos to start. The soup broth was pretty good. I was in the mood for something salty after traveling a bit, but every time I would take a spoonful of the onions it became more and more inedible. It was so insanely salty which is saying a lot since I was in the mood for salty. I literally could not finish the soup and let the waitress know. The nachos were weird. I ate them mainly because I was starving. 3 bites in though I knew I definitely wouldn't order those again. Whatever that cheese sauce is they use, it really does not go well with the little bit of lobster that was on there (which I'm assuming was some imitation lobster.) Onto the main course where I ordered stuffed shrimp with rice and a loaded baked potato. These were literally the saddest stuffed shrimp I have ever had the displeasure of tasting in my life. Another sauce that misses the mark on what I can only assume are frozen stuffed shrimp. Maybe the salt assault from earlier was still taking it's toll, but this dish went to the other end of the spectrum. It was bland as could be. I tried the rice and it wasn't even cooked fully as there were still hard crunchy pieces throughout it so that was inedible. The potato, though it was overcooked to where it had formed a thick, hard, skin crust on the bottom, was at least otherwise good and cooked. My wife got a salad with beets and chicken but as she ate it, she came to realize it was also loaded with mandarin slices that had to be from a can as they were all slimy and mushy and had a bit of weird taste. She literally picked them all out of her salad (and she loves mandarins.) The waitress apologized up and down when we let her know these things but that was all that happened. Shr was sweet and genuinely felt bad, but there are clearly zero processes in this place to address customers who are not happy and couldn't eat about 1/3 of the food. After a $91 check and another $18 tip we gave, this place does not even come close to warranting that. I'd be blown away if the owner of this place is actually proud of what we were served because I can make better versions of ever dish I ordered on an given night (yes I have a background in hospitality.) For me to write a review like this it wasn't just a little bad. I generally eat just about anything and even will get more lenient when I'm starving, but Augie's found my limits. Waste of money. Oh, the iced tea was good though. It tasted...

My family has been a fan of Auggies for 3 years. We moved to the verde Valley several years back and go to prescott to run our costco and other errands bimonthly. We almost always ate dinner at Auggies unless the wait was too long which happened a few times.

At their old location we enjoyed the food, live music, amazing service and feeling of being in a local, beloved community gathering place. We were devastated when they closed. We even tried to find out if we could contact the owner and chip in for a possible relocation or some sort of way to bring it back. We love Auggies. As a side note, our middle child is named August and feels like the restaurant was made for him. He has met the owner and wanted to come to Auggies on his birthday and every other significant moment.

We have been waiting a long time to eat at Auggies again and did so Friday the 26th. We got in at 2 pm, still a lot of people in the place considering it's enormous. We were seated immediately and ordered right away service was good, food was AWESOME! The corn chowder was amazing, the salads so nice, the kids burger was huge and my son said it was great. We all sat there happy and comforted that Auggies had reopened and may have enough seats to not have to wait in the future.

This restaurant is now a little out of the way, as in not viewable from the road, I hope they get adequate signage so new people in town can find it.

Wholesome, tasty food and great service I think are the strong points Auggies has down pat.

I'm so happy we can eat there again. We don't do Texas roadhouse, red robin or olive garden. We like local, we like great service, no electronic junk and a place that feels community oriented and has fresh veggies.

Now you can eat at Auggies again! Celebrate with a great lunch or dinner!

My only critique, Please bring back that steak asparagus roll appetiser thing. It was...

I will never go to this establishment ever again. Use to recommend this place to friends not any MORE ! I have never been to any restaurant where we told to leave by the waitress because she wanted the table for other customers and there were clearly other tables available behind us. She was trying to take the appetizer away before we were even fished and when we declined desert she told us to pay up as she had a reservation coming in nine minutes!!!!! I have never been so embarrassed , humiliated or astonished at such rudeness by wait staff in a restaurant. We were there for one hour and fifteen minutes I met my friend for Happy hour which is from four to six. We got there at 4.30 ordered three appetizers and each had two glasses of wine. From the moment I told the waitress called Tammy M we were doing the happy hour she assumed this snotty attitude and demeanor and was not at all pleasant or friendly. We had friends sitting behind who were as equally shocked at her attitude and request for us to leave. We went here at Augie's to relax, chat and have a pleasant time not to have some rude wait person make us feel very uncomfortable and be very sarcastic when leaving. The bill was around $40.00 so if you are not prepared to spend the big bucks , eat and run then I certainly do not recommend this place if you want to be treated with courtesy and have a leisurely meal, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO. THERE ARE OTHER EATING ESTABLISHMENTS WHERE THE REGULAR PRICES ARE NOT AS HIGH AND THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH COURTESY AND RESPECT !!!!! NO THANK YOU NEVER AGAIN! THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT PAYING CUSTOMERS!!!! THE OWNER COULD NOT CARE LESS. GET THEM IN AND OUT AS QUICKLY...
