Lazy G Brewhouse in Prescott is a spot that blends history with modern craft beer culture. Housed in what appears to be a newer, thoughtfully designed building, the space is wide open with high ceilings, creating a lively atmosphere. The outdoor patio adds a fun touch, featuring a converted vintage travel trailer serving beer—an ode to the site’s former life as a trailer park. This place is clearly a local favorite, buzzing with energy. They don’t take reservations, but our party of six was lucky to snag a table after just a 15-minute wait.
Beer lovers will appreciate the diverse selection on tap, with a nod to those who enjoy darker brews. I went for the Local Roast, a Coffee Porter brewed with locally roasted beans from Firehouse Coffee Roasters and a hint of vanilla. At 6%, it was smooth, rich, and exactly what I hoped for—bold coffee notes with a velvety finish.
The food menu is just as intriguing. I started with the Roasted Brussels Sprouts, which had great potential—oven-roasted, flash-fried, and tossed in a sweet chili garlic sauce. While the flavor was solid, the sauce was over-applied, making them overly sweet. A lighter hand on the sauce and cooked slightly longer would have taken these from good to fantastic.
Since Lazy G is known for its burgers, I went with the House Burger—brioche bun, crisp lettuce, house pickles, red onion, chipotle aioli, and house-made tomato jam. The flavors were there, but the balance was off—too much bun, not enough burger. However, the fries? Absolute perfection. Crisp, well-seasoned, and impossible to stop eating.
Our server was great, even though we had to wait a bit for a meal to be served. He was on top of re-filling drinks, asking if we needed another beer, etc. Overall very attentive.
Overall, Lazy G Brewhouse is a great place to grab a beer and a bite while in Prescott. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a casual meal with friends, it's well worth a visit. Would I return? Absolutely—especially for another pint of that Coffee Porter and those perfectly crisp fries. Cheers to...
Read more45 minute wait… no problem.. I was visiting on a work trip so I had all the time in the world.. Host got my name and number and me and my coworkers waited outside…
40 mins go by and my coworker is getting really dehydrated (saying he might pass out). He rushed inside and sat down (since he wasn’t feeling well) Anyway our seats were up as soon as that was going on.
One thing really bothered me though.
As soon as I go inside I notice there is an outside bar area where they are serving drinks to people waiting or just other customers playing cornhole outside.
WOW!! I wish the HOST would have told us that was an option. If you didn’t read what I said above, I’m on a work trip, I’m unfamiliar with the area and my first time at this restaurant.
I had no clue there was an outside bar area, if I would’ve known my coworker wouldn’t have almost passed out and been throwing up in a trashcan in front of all your customers eating.
I’ve worked in restaurants before the host should be greeting people with: “Yes we have a 45 minute wait but you are more than welcome to help yourself to the bar outside in the meantime”
There were other groups of people standing in front with us the whole time. Pretty sure they were unaware of the outside bar as well…
Not sure if this other lady who helped was the owner or a manager but she was super sweet, she went into full mom mode and kept making sure my coworker was okay the remainder of time we were there. I really appreciate her and I know my coworker did too.
For the food:
The fries were slightly above average, one of my coworkers said they are the same fries from village inn lol.
The burger was okay but you can see in my video the tomato jam isn’t evenly spread which caused my top bun to fall apart into pieces. As a burger aficionado this is one of my pet peeves when eating a burger. I didn’t even finish the last couple bites because of this. The ranch was good so that’s a plus.
Wish I was able to try some of their brews but I was working. I did love the names of some of their...
Read moreFirst time visiting with friends last month. Great atmosphere and while they were busy, we were able to find a place at the bar to have a cold drink while waiting for our table to have lunch. The wait for table was less than expected server came over to take our order fairly quick. We had an appetizer which came out quickly and then the issues started. We waited almost 25 minutes after our appetizer came out with no food. I asked our server for an update and she said they were working on it. We waited longer and I then see our server back over in corner eating food and taking a break. I finally get her attention, we were all a bit irritated, which she sensed and we asked again about food and asked for manager to stop by. Waited another 20 minutes before food finally came out. While the place was busy, the kitchen was still putting out food fairly quick as we saw many people who were seated after us get their food. Owner, Jim, finally stopped by and apologized for the poor service. He said kitchen was struggling but did not want to make any excuses and took care of our drinks which was a nice gesture. I appreciated his straightforward, no BS approach. While Jim said most of the issue were the kitchen's fault, I still blame our server for not staying on top of our order. When she dropped off our check she said "Remember, don't blame the player, blame the game". Who says something like that?? While our initial visit was not stellar, we will be back as the food (once it came out) was very good, beer was cold with good selections, the place has a nice vibe and Jim handled our...
