Life is short . F….it up! Family, Flavor, Friends

Was going to Providence for the weekend and decided to check out this new place the pictures and the menu look very promising. So the location downstairs is for takeout dumplings because the location in the Brown University area. The second floor was for dining in this is where the hot pot and other cooked items are served . When you go upstairs, does the normal bar of different sauces you can make at any traditional hot pot place. Unfortunately, this place is still has its growing pains and service was very slow. So we decided not to do the hot pot because of the time limit. We the crystal shrimp dumplings and Shumai. They were ok my buddy thought they were frozen ones. Tried the soup dumplings. Found it strange they served it on a bed of lettuce.. and the dumplings were all popped no soup🥲. The pork leek celery pan fried dumplings were promising- decent flavor .. but was served like warm.. we tried all 4 traditional rice dishes. I applaud the the efforts and know what they were trying to do.. home-cooked traditional meals. The chicken scallion was decent, but you really need to serve it with the diced scallion and ginger with oil so it has more salt. The tomato and egg was pretty good. These little more seasoning. The curry was decent. That one was probably my favorite because it taste like something. Your mom would make. The beef stew was OK but just a taste just too much salt. I get the concept, but I would wait to visit this place until they get their...

We did hot pot with half and half: pork bone broth and Tom yum. The pork bone broth was comforting and delicious deep flavor. The Tom yum is rich and sour. The self serve sauce bar has large variety-there are little bowls for your sauces on the shelf below. The restaurant interior is cozy, clean, relaxing. We were given the option to choose where we wanted to sit, too. The service was friendly and attentive from everyone we interacted with. I didn’t get our server name but he was quick to act like offering forks (we did end up using chopsticks instead as they are just better suited for hotpot, even if you are not a pro using them!) and telling us where the sauce bowls were, checking on us often but not too much.

We got Enoki mushroom, king oyster mushroom, beef, tofu sheets, baby bok choi, cabbage, udon. The portions were plentiful and it was definitely more than enough for 2 people, could easily be shared between 3 or 4. For all of this our bill came to around 70$. We felt this is a good value given the generous portion size, quality, and experience. They also allow to take home left overs which was really...

My friend and I found this place while looking for new hotpot spots to eat and decided to go for my birthday on May 27th. We were the only customers there, so we figured the service would be good. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. There were two waiters, but neither of them paid us any attention. One was watching anime on the bar TV with headphones in, and the other was just on his phone the whole time. When our food came out, it was brought on one big tray and rolled over to our table on a cart. The waiter didn’t even bother setting it on the table properly. They literally fed us like pigs, just dumped all the meats and veggies on one big tray like it was a buffet for animals. No one came to check on us, offer more water, or ask if we needed anything. My friend and I had to get up multiple times to ask for things ourselves, which was super frustrating. I wish I would’ve taken pictures as proof. On the other hand, please do better. I had really high hopes considering you guys have 4.5 stars. I’m not usually the type to leave bad reviews, but this experience really pushed me...

Delicious and affordable hot pot! My boyfriend and I arrived on the later side, around 9pm. We were seated immediately, there were only 2 other parties there. Service was very prompt, we had our drinks within a minute (sake was very good) and food within 15 minutes or less. The chef was leaving around 9:30 but they made sure to check if r wanted any more food before he left! We got scallion pancakes and sesame balls, both very tasty and fresh. Tom Yum broth for hot pot is SO GOOD!! And it’s such a deal for the combo meals. $25 for a good amount of meat as well as tons of veggies, tofu, glass noodles, etc. As well as access to the sauce bar which I enjoyed. Well worth it - we were extremely full and happy leaving. We will be back!
