I can’t take away from their delicious pizza however this place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My 15 year old autistic son attends a summer program at Brown University and will sometimes walk with friends over to get some lunch. My son is autistic very intelligent in most areas but gets very overwhelmed with money and purchases he doesn’t quite get the concept. He just gets so frazzled when it comes to these things. So what I do is every week put a lunch allowance on his cash app account to try to avoid the panic for him. Ithought it would be great for him to experience going with a group of friends and eating lunch which he has been doing since this program started at various restaurants near the college. Well Wednesday himself and a friend decided to go to Antonio’s for lunch well whatever they purchased came to $20.52 which is fine so my son paid with his card and it is debit so it automatically withdraws now yesterday he goes to buy a donut at the cafeteria and it was denied due to insufficient funds. Well he couldn’t figure it out so he became very overwhelmed and called me I checked his account and Antonio’s decided to go in at 4:20am yesterday and take another $20.52 cents off his card leaving him with a $2 balance (so he paid $41 for some pizza. Later that afternoon I went in and at first spoke to the most ignorant girl at the counter who proceeded to tell me it’s not their problem and my son should of checked his receipt before he left even rolling her eyes and refusing to allow me to speak to a manager well the manager finally walked in and I showed him all the account info and he took a photo and said he was sending it to his main store for them to take a look now while speaking to him the disrespectful girl on the background is still running her mouth and making faces at my son. Needless to say the manager I. So many words was telling me oh well take it as a loss. This is a well known and liked pizza spot however their customer service is awful and I feel like they took advantage of my son because number 1 he is a kid and two she could see how overwhelmed he was. So in reality they are thief’s just sad. Please if you eat here ask for double copy’s of your receipt and check it before leaving. Shame on them for taking advantage of a kid in my...
Read moreBeen ducking this place for a very long time for some reason even though I am an avid pizza enjoyer. I finally tried it a couple days ago and this is arguably one, if not, the best local place in Providence. I tried the Sicilian slice (which is out of my comfort zone because I don’t really like Sicilian pizza) and it was so good I couldn’t even fathom it. Went back today with my girlfriend to try the regular cheese and it was immaculate pizza. Not only does it taste good, but super affordable and even have deals like on Wednesday's all slices are just 3$!!! I was also amazed by the amazing customer service, everyone is super friendly and will chat up a conversation with you as if they knew you for years. I had finished my pizza and the front desk person was sweeping and asked if I had enjoyed my pizza, and when I responded with an immediate “Yes!” they responded with “that’s lovely to hear!” I highly recommend this place because of its friendly environment, the quality of the food, and the affordability of this “high-end pizza!” Definitely will be coming more frequently, love this...
Read moreYou won't leave hungry! Antonio's is located on the "East Side" not East Providence if your a local or familiar w/Providence you know the difference. The location is physically on Thayer Street, in the heart of Brown University, that being said parking SUCKS! No parking lot, on street parking only, if your getting orders to go & driving bring a friend so they can go in & get the order while you drive around the block. They do an enormous business w/in the neighborhood w/Brown, RISD,MB, & Wheeler the food is always fresh. The menu is huge, they serve sicilian square type pizza in addition to the thin crust. My go to favorites BBQ chicken specialty or the XL cheese. A XL slice will hang off the paper plate they provide. They provide paper plates on their to go orders as well. When you walk in you will be greeted by a large selection of premade pizzas that are sold by the slice, they will need to be heated, takes a few minutes but so worth the wait. I've been going here since 1996 & enjoy it today as much as I did on day 1. If you enjoy pizza...
