As a fan of seafood and food in general and a local. I came here excited and hungry for early dinner late lunch around 3pm. As we sat down we saw a large pile of seafood scraps on the table next to us. It seemed like a good place sime Then looking at the prices, its gotta be good because it certainly isn't cheap. We ordered calamari 1lb prawns and snow crab even some stuffed mushrooms and steak. Unfortunately I think almost everything about this place is a huge disapointment. From the start the waiter didn't know if they had Bloody Mary's, and told us we were ordering to much food.. so we removed the shrimp and lobster from the order. Then the appetizer of calamari and mushrooms came out , calamari overcooked and shriveled and the mushrooms were tasteless and full of water, it made almost a soup of mushroom broth on the plate. From not being thawed correctly and cooked in a microwave Flavorless. The steak came out! Lol as soon as my partner touched it water poured out like a bad joke. Obviously poorly frozen and poorly thawed and again cooked in a microwave. It was so full of water we both instantly knew this wasn't getting any better soon. And very unfortunate. Then the prawns and crab came out, oh boy! There were 3 prawns for the lb. Around $20. Inside each 6" prawn was about an inch of shrivelled over cooked meat so three inches of meat for anyone without a math degree. The snow crabs were the most tolerable of our seafood selections but over cooked as well, making the meat stick to the shell and very hard to eat. The crab and prawns were amidst some seasoned oily flavor mixture or "sauce" in the bottom of the pan that was basically some a generous portion of every seasoning you could find in vegatable oil, per our waiters insightfull recommendation. We had some asparagus that was ok and mashed potatoes that were flavorless but ehhh.. When our waiter asked us how everything was I told him, in a nice way.. everything was overcooked in a microwave flavorless and full of water, in a nice way... In the end we spent about $120. And not once did he ask if there was anything they could do. We paid and will never go back again. I hope the real chef was out sick. Because this place cant survive much longer like this. The idea of a place that serves great clean fresh seafood options for not cheap is still...
Read moreHad the baked stuffed lobster for 75.00 and the garlic noodles and crème brûlée for dessert. The stuffing was filled with scallops and had a nice flavor. The garlic noodles were delicious kinda of sweet but garlicky too. A great side option. The crème brûlée was excellent slightly brown and crispy on top with a creamy smooth filling. I get this dessert whenever it’s on a menus and this one is Definitely on the top of that list.
The restaurant is decorated cute and atmosphere is very nice but the place is very small maybe had 6 -8 tables inside and had a very small bar with just a few chairs . It’s nice for a quiet intimate lunch or dinner. It does offer outside seating which is bigger than inside. I don’t have any small children but was impressed by the portable changing station in the rest room. Such a nice way to encourage families to come out for a meal here. Seems like they go above and beyond to accommodate their patrons. You don’t see that often. We also had a few cocktails the espresso martini which came out fancy with the name of the restaurant stenciled on top with cocoa or cinnamon idk and also had a white wine sangria Both delicious!!
We went in the early afternoon and found Parking to be a nightmare with no handicap parking anywhere. No fault to the restaurant …it is providence parking is like that everywhere.
I have to say we enjoyed the good food but our server may have been distracted very friendly BUT not great at being attentive to the customers needs. The lobster came out with no butter or any utensils to crack the shell with. We had to wait awhile to see our server. When I pointed it out we were given 1 cracker and a pair of scissors to share and 1 cloth napkin each. I was there with a colleague not someone I felt comfortable handing the utensils back and forth with. Every other table had utensils, plastic gloves and wet wipes. We had to ask for the wet wipes. When you’re spending 130.00 for a meal you expect the service to be better. Which may have only been this one individual everyone else seemed to be on point. Maybe they were new or just learning the job.

Read moreThe waitress was sweet and attentive. Although she told me the shell-on headless shrimp were deveined shrimp (they were not). The Bartender makes an amazing French 75, so I ordered 2 (wink). The food was fresh and delicious. It came out in a timely manner. I ordered a lobster roll and half pound of shrimp.
My only major complaint was the host. He wasn't at the host stand which is located outside on the covered patio. It was raining when I arrived and a little chilly. No one was sitting out, so why would the host stand be there (I'll digress). When I arrived. The host was not there so I walked into the restaurant. There was a second host stand. The 2 girls standing there looked puzzled as to why I was there. I told them I needed a table for 1. Then the guy who opened the door for me, walked up and asked me to step back outside so that the host could check me in. I asked why do I need to step out when I'm already inside? (Again it's rainy and chilly out). I also asked where was the host when I arrived? He said, in the restroom. So I asked couldn't he check me in, inside? The younger male host immediately caught an attitude. He waved me to follow him, then sat me at a table next to a brick column (please understand, at the time of my arrival the restaurant was pretty empty there were literally 5 guests. There was a table with 4 women, and a table with 1 man . I chuckled to myself because I knew this was his attempt to piss me off. But I didn't let him see me sweat. I sat at the table and waited to see how the rest of my time there...
