I love Providence Public Library! The library is extremely clean and well taken care of. There are plenty of quiet rooms / places to study, and there are also meeting rooms available for group work. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had a piano room as well. The staff here are very friendly; I was greeted by a gentleman working in the front desk and he gave me mask and also a tour around the library. Overall a great experience! I will be coming here often.

Update April 2023: I came back to the library today and it is even better now! There is truly something for everyone: Are you thinking about starting a small business? There are FRRE workshops regularly. Are you trying to learn basic English? There are FREE English classes for beginners. Are you preparing for your naturalization interview? There are FREE classes and resources to help you go through it. Are you a teenager who is looking to get tutor? There are FREE tutors for you.

In addition, I noticed today that in the women bathroom, there are free period products for women to use. I have not been to many places that provide free women feminine products. I honestly appreciate this thoughtfulness so much!

Another nice surprise today was that there were really awesome display of 450 million year timeline and organisms that were made entirely from recyclable materials like cardboard boxes. I guess they really hit a few birds with 1 stone with this project: education about history and organisms, raise awareness about the importance of using recyclable materials to achieve sustainability, and display of creativity and amazing arts.

All libraries should be like the Providence,...

Our wedding at PPL!

As soon as we visited the library, we were sold. The space is beautiful, unique. The design and architecture of the building are all the decorations you need (well, almost). I also appreciated the variety of spaces (e.g., bridal suite upstairs, ship room for dinner, courtyard for dancing) to give guests room to move about, privacy for the bridal party, and a variation for photos. We received so many compliments on the venue. I also appreciate that it’s downtown - there are so many restaurants and hotels nearby to support your guests. There’s also the mall and other stores for whatever last minute items you forgot!

But a wedding at the library is nothing without Russell Morin’s! From the moment we started planning the wedding, the staff at Russell Morin’s were excellent, answering all of our questions and helping us personalize and plan the big day. Our tasting experience was incredible - hardest decision was narrowing down our selections. The food on the day was excellent, served quickly with a very professional and polished staff. All the additional items - wedding cake, chocolate fountain, apps, and late night snacks - were just as excellent as the meal itself. We had a newlywed attendant who made sure we were fed and were where we were supposed to be all night - so grateful for her! And finally, our day of coordinator, Kelsey, was the best, taking care of every detail, from the rehearsal to setting up the day of to making sure we had everything we needed when we left for the night, including sandwiches and leftover wedding cake. We loved the library setting but the Russell Morin’s team made the...
