Lucky Diner — Restaurant in Proviso Township

I've been going to this place for years and never once had a complaint until now. I ordered over the phone. Fifteen minutes later when I arrived my order was on the counter but there was also a customer in front of me so I waited in line. The customer ordered his coffee and sat down at the counter. Now it's my turn, but instead the waitress walked away to take water to customer's sitting at the table. She comes back to the counter only to call another waitress from the back to assist her with carrying more glasses of water instead of taking my order or atleast acknowledging my presence by saying I'll be with you in a moment. She now comes back to take my order. I hand her my card; in return she sits both receipts on the counter (1 for me to sign) but didn't hand me or sit my card down. I had to ask for my card only for her to give me an attitude cause I asked for it (and yes she didn't put it in my hand she sat it on the counter). I refuse to spend anymore money here as long as she's there. I wish they bring back the other waitresses or hire someone with good customer service skills. Food is good the older waitress needs customer service...

Coffee was cold;dinning tables weren't clean as it should've been last time I went Ibwas charged a lil more for each order that qas on the menu/ menu does say prices subject to change I say change the menu so the correct prices can be seen so as the customer I can know the exact amount Iam supposed to pay before I order something grits were cold as well place smelled like mop water and lemon cleaning supply this I my 6th time here over a 3 year span today was one of the worst visits I had apart from my last visit sound 6 months ago they do serve grits and white rice and turkey sausage which is a plus the reason I do go back to give it another chance to see if things changed or not it's always difficult waitresses with looks that can speak without saying a word basically like your bothering them which was my last two...

I went to Lucky Diner in Melrose Park to get breakfast a few times before. However, on two different occasions I brought breakfast for myself and my sister, which was a cheese omelette with hash browns and a club sandwich with french fries. The hash browns were totally black and my sister's french fries were black on the outside and raw in the inside. I called the older lady with the white hair, and I told her about my experience. I also advised her that a real cook does not burn up food and serve it to his or her customers, and we will NOT BE BACK, and I will certainly write a Review because other people should BEWARE.
