This review is actually for May 2022. It just started being nice out and my boyfriend and I were looking somewhere to go for lunch that had a patio and we were with our 9 month old at the time. I found O’Sullivans on Google because of the patio.

When we arrived we were not greeted right away and there was no sign that said “wait for host or hostess or anything” so we weren’t sure what to do. We tried walking towards the back of the patio area since that is why we went. We decided to sit by the high top tables across from the bar and they have the large windows open to feel the nice weather. When we sat down we did end up being greeted and the staff was friendly. We even had to have a change for our waitress due to their staffing and the next person was just as friendly. The food was just okay, and I normally love bar food. I recommend more or so for just the drinks, but we could have ordered the wrong thing. The potato skins were over cooked so there was barely any potato and the sandwiches were dry. It was family friendly when we went, we saw tons of...

I was here recently for my sister's birthday party event in the beer garden. My first time at this bar though I lived in Oak Park for many years. There were about 25 in our group but there was also another party sharing the outdoor section which made it a little cramped. Don't think we were told another party would be there...?

Food consisted of 'bar bites': mini sliders, mini pulled pork, wings, cheese quesadillas, chicken wings, chicken tenders & salad. Although food was kept in warming trays, everything was cold by the time we started eating. Mini burgers were hard and no condiments (ketchup or mustard) were placed on table. Someone had ordered a regular cheeseburger w/fries and noticed some mold on the bun.

Our server for the night was excellent though. She worked hard to accommodate everyone and serve drinks. The tab on this event was overpriced for what you get. With so many beer gardens/bars in the area, I can't recommend this place for parties...

Had lunch at O'Sullivan's Public House in Forest Park a couple of days before Christmas. Cool local bar/restaurant! It's in a very old building, I believe late 1800's, with the original copper ceiling, which is very interesting! The bar was decorated nicely for the holidays and looked great! This was my first visit, and I met my son and his girlfriend there, who had flown in from Seattle, for the holidays. I had the Prime Buffalo Burger which was ok... except that I had ordered it medium rare and it was well past that point. The onion rings I ordered were significantly overcooked as well, and the breading was so dry it literally broke apart in my fingers when I picked up a ring. We had no complaints with the other food we ordered... so I'm not sure why mine turned out the way it did. All in all, it's a cool place to visit! Perhaps my meal was an anomaly... I would have given this place 5 stars if...

Delicious meal enjoyed outside! This was the perfect spot for my friend and I to grab some dinner outside and from a safe distance from others after attending a doctor's appointment at the nearby Rush campus. The food was made to order and therefore very fresh and delicious! My friend and I shared the nachos with steak for our appetizer and shrimp tacos (3 tacos come in an order) for our entree, which came with rice and beans. The steak on the nachos was so tender that it practically melted in your mouth. The chips for the nachos are fried fresh upon your order so they were perfection! The nachos had a lot of flavor and toppings! The shrimp in the tacos were delicious although the taco as a whole was on the spicy side for me. However if you like spicy food you would probably love these! Definitely check O'Sullivan's out!

I've driven by this place at least 1,000 times, said I'd go in and never quite made it until now. This is a nice spot, good crowd for the Saturday college football games, a few tables in the bar area, most of which were occupied. The real gem though was the beer garden. Quaint, very clean and nicely decorated. I sat out there watched a game while noshing on a perfectly grilled Ruben with tots. I would have tried the spirits, but I had people to see, places to go, things to do and couldn't indulge, next time. The menu? Lots of options above and beyond the usual bar fare and it all looked delish. My server was attentive and I apologize that I can't remember her name. Check it out, it's on my repeat AMAP (as much as possible).
