Best sushi place in Utah Valley.
My favorite are the Nigiri choices, though they have some excellent rolls. One roll people my not think to try is the Cuban roll. Sweet potato sounds odd, but it is really interesting and delicious. Usually a hit with people I take to sushi that are not yet sold on the idea of sushi.
They also have some killer off-menu items. I don't want to spoil all their secrets, but the Mama roll is superb.
The best thing this place has though is the nigiri. The Omakase (or chef's choice) is my favorite in Utah. The nigiri is great, but the chef takes it to the next level with a quick sear plus salt and pepper. I think the hamachi (yellowtail) is the best choice in this preparation, with salmon second. The unadulterated escolar can also be very, very sweet and delicate.
Not only is this place good, it's really affordable as far as sushi goes, which makes this place the best...
Read moreNot a horrible experience but also not your best option in my opinion. I ended up spending $17 on two rolls with a modest tip (this was from their lunch menu which is cheaper than the dinner menu). For that amount of money you can get better quality somewhere else. I asked for extra spicy mayo on the side which made a big difference, without it the sushi is a little bland. There’s also a good chance I just orders the wrong thing though. My friend got two fried rolls and I will say those were much better but also more expensive and still bellow what I would expect for the price. On the positive end, the service is good and the meal was quick and convenient. Overall I would recommend going somewhere like five sushi brothers around the...
Read moreHorrible experience! Service with a frown rather than a smile. No drink refills. We came in at 6:30. They close at 8. We were the only people in the restaurant. We ordered 4 rolls for five of us to start, but told the waiter we’d order another round after seeing which rolls we liked most. The place got busy and we didn’t see the waiter again, when he finally came back he told us our second round of sushi would be a two hour wait. He just wanted to clear us out. So we each got less than one roll. They should help their existing customers first. Spoke with the manager and he was completely apathetic. We ended up going to Saida Sushi instead. Way better service! Way better quality at Saida which is only a few...
