When I went into the new Orem location there was one other person there waiting to be helped. We were the only two people there. One worker behind the counter was placing labels on sauces and neither of us waiting could get her attention. We were both debating whether to leave when she finally turned around taking out earphones and apologizing. Not very impressed with the service. I ordered the 3-meat plate so I could sample the fare. Teriyaki Chicken was excellent! Teriyaki Steak not so much. It was cut into extremely thin slices and was cooked to the point where texturally I might as well have been eating soft jerky. Needless to say, I won’t be trying that one again. The third meat I tried was the Kahlua Pork. It was tasty, if a bit smokier than I would have liked. They offer unlimited amounts of either Teriyaki or Katsu sauces which I appreciated. The Katsu sauce was good. The Teriyaki sauce was like a liquid brown sugar - way too sweet. The Mac salad was better than most of the Hawaiian food places around. Overall, I would go back for the chicken and Mac salad and take them home to use...

The food was very good hence the 4 stars. We got the Katsu chicken sandwich, which could be in the running to win the chicken sandwich wars....the fries that come with it are the battered kind and were delicious as well with their house fry sauce. The garlic shrimp was also very good, but the portion size was a joke for a 3 dollar up charge only 4 shrimp on the small plate...6 seems like it would be more on point for the up charge. Also they ran out of white rice which is weird since it can't be that hard to make more. The service was also chaotic, they said they'd never been this busy at lunch, but still I had to go back multiple times to the cashier asking where my order was as I watched several people who ordered way after me get their food. The soda machines had no ice or carbonation. I did get comped 2 bottled sodas after asking for a refund on the drinks. So overall if it hadn't been for just how good the food was I would have only given 3 stars and if the service and shrimp portions improve they'll...

The food looked so good, I took my son here to celebrate getting our first dose of the vaccine. We were choosing our items from the menu while we were in line, but was we approached, we noticed NONE of the cooking/prepping staff had masks on. One employee had a mask under her chin. And the group in front of us were also all maskless. As they reached their heads over the sneeze guard to order, I decided it was best to turn around and get out of there. No way I wanted to risk getting Covid after getting my first vaccine. The mask mandate is still in effect. I have no idea what they are thinking here, but I couldn't risk it, and now I don't think I want to give them my business when they are being so reckless. Who knows what other health codes they...

Great ambiance and food. If you want island themed food then this is a great place in Utah valley. We both got the Katsu chicken sandwich and were very happy with it. The bun has their logo branded on it. The chicken was perfectly cooked and had crispy breading.

This was the worst “steak” meal I have ever had. Their “steak” is more like beef tips from a can. I also got the two meet/ larger portion which was quite a disappointment. Fake steak and small portions for $20 just made me a life long customer to Mo’ Bettahs.
