If you are really considering moving in here, make sure you read all the way through. Donât be fooled, the management will be super nice at first, but will never be willing to help (or answer the office phone). Iâd give them a 0 if I could. Iâve lived in other apartments in Provo, but none of them have had worse service than this one. Reasons:
I could keep going on and on; but for lengthâs sake, Iâm gonna stop. Hopefully this is enough to make you reconsider moving here.
You can ask anyone living here and they will all complain about the...
Read moreCollege Place Woodland is a luxurious, friendly place to live, but it's way overpriced and the management needs to really step up their game. I'm sure you can find a cheaper place to live with better management and have a wonderful college experience.
Living Environment: â â â â â College Place Woodland is new and nice. The complex is only a few years old so everything from the kitchen to the furniture is top-notch. The complex is a 15-minute walk from most classes on BYU, so that's nice too. People: â â â â â I loved living here for the friends I made. I only lived here for a year, but I made some solid friends and really value those relationships. The LDS ward here is wonderful, too. Caring bishopric and ward family. Management: â ââââ The management is kind and well-intended but their ability to execute basic tasks is in need of much improvement. Management switched hands from Lone Peak Property Management to Redstone Residential, and I'll say that the transition was very rough. Trash didn't get taken out all summer and the scent was not good. When I moved out, I asked for my $450 deposit and it took them EIGHT MONTHS and countless reminder emails to finally get it back. They really didn't take me seriously as a good business should do. Value: â ââââ Although I loved my ward, the people, and the quality of living, I felt like this complex was just trying to take as much money from me as possible. There are many overpriced, superfluous fees associated with the contract i.e. $150 application fee, $450 deposit, apartment reconditioning fee, contract renewal fee, etc. This doesn't include the $25 monthly parking fee. I expect that since I left last year, all of these prices...
Read moreDon't rent here, choose any other apartment complex in Provo. This is the shadiest and most dishonest apartment complex I have ever encountered. I would never recommend living at College Place Woodland to anyone. When I first moved in, the apartment wasn't cleaned (the shower had orange mold all over it) and the dryer broke shortly after. The dryer took a couple of weeks to fix and right when the dryer was fixed, the AC went out. There were birds living in the parking garage for months and people's cars that are parking in the garage are frequently broken into. When I switched bedrooms there was someone living there illegally and I had to box up all of his stuff and clean the entire apartment myself. On top of all of these problems, there have been countless billing issues. I have been promised on various occasions that I would only be paying certain fees and then I have been charged extra every time I was promised that. They will not uphold their previous commitments. If you do decide to live here, be sure to review your statement each month with the CPW staff because there are hidden fees that they won't tell you about unless you ask them about it. When I asked the manager about one of these issues he claimed he wasn't the manager at that time so he couldn't do anything about it. When I pointed out that he was in fact the manager, he said "that's neither here nor there" and he refused to help me because I didn't get my prior conversation in writing. I do not trust the billing or anything that...
