Greenhouse Salad Co — Restaurant in Provo

I really wanted to like this place. The first time I went I had my 8 month old son. They do not have any high chairs in the restaurant so I ended up going next door to eat which was a bummer.

My second experience was sadly pretty grim. I ordered online at 3:45 and it said my order would be ready by 4:15. I had my husband pick it up. I was taking it to family and was kind of in a time crunch. Long story short, my husband got there right at 4:15 and our 4 salads were not ready until 5pm. He just sat there and waited. My husband said there was only one guy working in the back and seemed to be doing the best I could. This lapse is not a reflection in him but it is on the owners. If i open up a new restaurant that’s understaffed, you better believe im working there every weekend until it’s fully staffed. Super disappointing. Additionally, the chicken was super dry and there was very little lettuce. The other veggies were good. Cherry on top was that I accidentally tipped online and when the guy brought the salads out he said “oh you probably need a bag” and then just handed one to my husband instead of quickly bagging it up. Not a huge deal but would go a long way if better care was taken. Hopefully these kinks will be worked out but sadly I wouldn’t go back nor would I recommend...

I'm a huge fan of Bowls Superfoods, so when I saw Greenhouse Salad around the building from them a couple weeks ago, I stopped in my tracks and took this picture. I was so excited to have another option for healthful eating in the area. The next week I got an email from Bowls saying Greenhouse Salad Co was their sister store and I was elated, expecting the same standards as the owner of Bowls puts into his restaurant. I was NOT disappointed!!!

I finally got there today for the first time and had the Mediterranean Garden Bowl, which is beyond delicious! The quinoa and chickpeas were a filling meal with a delightful lemon vinaigrette. I can’t wait to go back and try more items. I ordered the Mediterranean Garden Bowl because I'm vegetarian, and it was the only vegetarian dish; however, the server told me they can make the other items vegetarian by leaving off the chicken, beef, or salmon. Walked into Greenhouse Salad Co thinking I was just gonna eat clean, maybe feel a little smug about myself. Nope. They absolutely body bagged me. The Chicken Baja Salad? Out of control. Crisp, fresh, flavors punching me in the mouth like McGregor in round one. Then they hit me with the honey sriracha salmon bowl. Salmon sitting there like it pays the mortgage, rice underneath like it’s holding up the whole neighborhood. Dressings? Forget it. I was one sip away from shot-gunning the cup like a college frat boy and not the BYU kind. And then… the lemon sheet cake. Brother, that thing should be illegal.
