Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food — Restaurant in Provo

I've ate at other mo bettahs locations and enjoyed it. But tonight I came at 8:40PM (it's a Thursday) and it was quite the contrary. It took me a while to get my order placed because no one was at the counter, and it took at least five minutes for it to get out to me. Staff was the opposite of friendly, was apathetic, and probably didn't make eye contact with me or my wife once... since there's no place to eat in there, we took our food the one-two minute drive up to the byu creamery since we were going to get ice cream there anyways. The food was awful. Our rice, Teri chicken, and Teri steak were room temperature. The one meat (that we had to wait on, katsu chicken) was the only warm and tasty part of our meal (I didn't order that, my wife did). Even worse, over half of our Teri chicken was burnt. It didn't just have a little too many grill marks or a little too much char on it, but so burnt that you couldn't even taste the sauce on a good amount of bites. And it was cold. We both ordered it, and we ate less than half of it. Horrible food and horrible experience for a price of $30. Had we been able to dine in we would've asked for a refund or them to remake our food. The food is good but the service struggled last night. They were out of one meat which wasn’t a big deal and I said I could wait for it but when I got home there was no meat at all in my meal and no sauces that I’d asked for... I drove all the way back and they said that another meat was currently out so I’d have to wait again. I had asked for some sauces a second time and when I eventually got my meal they didn’t give me any sauces again. They didn’t offer any extra benefit to make it right that I had to drive all the way back to get what I ordered.

I saw two other people while I was there not get the correct order. The person in front of me pulled out then unturned back into the drive through and another who waited sent the worker back in two times to get additional things they hadn’t gotten the first time. So, always check your food before driving away!!

Edit after: The manager contacted me and was very kind, apologized and said she would talk to and review with her staff. They have good management so hopefully the team...

I'm a regular at Mo Bettahs, eaten at a handful of their locations in Spanish Fork, Orem, Lehi, Salt Lake, and now Provo. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be visiting this one again. Yesterday was the second time trying this location, after at marginal first time I thought I'd give it another go. As other reviews have mentioned the portions seem noticably smaller than at other locations, like teriyaki chicken pieces half the size that they normally are at other locations. The big disappointment this time though was that the chicken tasted like it wasn't fresh, like maybe they made too much last Saturday and were reheating it. Kind of slimy texture as well, tasted off. If I had been dining in I would have asked to talk to the manager, but this one is drive through or takeout only. Also have had on both of my visits here the receipt codes for the loyalty points rejected when I texted to claim them. I love Mo Bettahs but I unfortunately this location is not one I will...
