I went and tried Yummy's KBBQ new Center St. Provo location. It is the same restaurant that has ayce kbbq but unfortunately at this location there is no kbbq, but there are some Korean dishes. It's more of a Korean/Hawaiian style restaurant so you will see some options where spam, a Hawaiian staple, be available. If you want some quick snacks, there are some spam musubi and mandu which is similar to a Japanese gyoza or a Chinese potsticker. I decided to try the bento box and got the pork belly. For the price, I was expecting a standard styrofoam square size amount of food, not half a rectangle box of food. The pork belly is plain and not seasoned when they bbq it. The mac salad was bland, but that could just be the batch I happen to get. You definitely need the sauce since the pork belly is not seasoned. Also, for a tiny sauce cup worth of kimchi, maybe 1 or 2 small pieces, is $1.50 seems a bit much which in my opinion could just be included in your bento box if asked The beef kimbap needs some improvement. There could definitely be more beef since the pieces are so thin. The rest of the veggies used were great except the spinach. The spinach could have been drained more of it's water. Since the spinach was so soggy, the flavor completely overpowered everything else and you could not appreciate the rest of the flavors. Could just be the person that happened to make it need more training, but that ruined it for me. The ramen bar looks like a fun part of the restaurant that I'll have to check out another time and maybe a fun date option, but for me it is hard to justify for me to do multiple times since it is just individual packaged ramen you could buy at the store yourself. I think they are still in their soft launch phase, so there are things I hope will be improved on. I'll have to give it a few more months to see them get a bit more established and give them another try. #thisishowichow #kimbap #bento #fyp #porkbelly #koreanfood #kbbq #localeats...
Read moreI LOVED it. I honestly had kind of low expectations but I was blown away with the quality and taste of the food.
Ordering Tip: I wasn't sure how to order. You grab a menu and then order at the counter and they bring it to you.
Ramen: 10/10 I came for the ramen machines that they imported from South Korea. They are amazing. They helped me figure out how to make it. You use a little cardboard tray that fills with hot water and then sits on an induction burner that cooks the ramen. They have toppings like sprouts, carrots, onions, etc. I paid for the hard boiled egg. It was super yummy and perfectly cooked.
Bento:10/10 The bento box was delicious. I was surprised at how much I loved the macaroni salad. I was kind of expecting lots of mayo but there was a lot of flavor and some herbs and a bit of sweetness that was downright addictive. I got teriyaki chicken which was tender and flavorful. It also came with rice and my favorite yellow picked radish.
Kimbap: 11/10 I also got some kimbap. It was HUGE. It was stuffed with beef bulgogi and more yellow radish. It was delightful. It was just hard to eat because you take a bite and the rest falls apart. It was some of the best kimbap I've had.

Read moreYummy. We ordered the Aloha Sushi roll and had the 2 meat (meat jun & bogolgi) and 2 meat (kalbi & pork belly) as appetizers. Add two 12 oz cans of Diet Coke for $41. Tip added $7. The Aloha roll was good to the last bite. I preferred the meat Jun (fried egg around marinated beef). My wife preferred the Kalbi beef as the fried pork tonight was a little tough. We were both really impressed with the Mac salad with a hint of dill. Some restaurants put too much mayonnaise, but at Yummy's it was perfect tonight.
Will come back to try the Ramen bar next time. Looks very impressive.
Two items that detracted from my experience tonight: random items around the store i.e. yellow lid storage box, chairs in odd places(some blocking the Ramen bar) and an odd table seating...
